very pretty!nice area, hub's family is in Spencer and he took me to Fall Creek Falls once, not sure where that is in relation but i think it's kind of the general vicinity

Thanks! Fall Creek Falls is about 45 minutes from where this picture was taken. Spencer is a little over 50 miles from my house, but I've never been there. My family moved to the area about 3 years ago and are still discovering little "gems" like this one.

I live a block north of Minneapolis, right by the Mississippi river. There is one little island on the river that is home to 20+ Great Blue Herons. They come back every year and nest there. This pic is one of the herons leaving the island to find some sticks to help make their nest.

nice ! did you use an nd filter for these? if i can get there i might go to see a waterfall near us today if the rain lets up...supposed to be flooding ( not to cheer for flooding but thought it might make a good photo,)

Thanks! No, I didn't use an nd filter, though it was an overcast day which did help. We're supposed to have some bad weather here today as well...I wish I could get back to the trail as I'm sure there would be some nice features around the various waterfalls. Who knows, maybe in a few days.

Yeah, that's a great picture for sure, especially since you didn't use an ND filter to get that effect. Tripod, rock, handheld?
