Feel-good pictures of the day here! I shot a homecoming yesterday (1st time using the brand new Canon 24-70...and I love it). Everyone was just so excited to have their loved ones home in time for Christmas.

The couple I was there shooting.

On the way out, I saw this father sitting with his baby for the first time, and I couldn't resist getting a photo.

OMG the one with the baby just brings tears to my eyes. You should find out who that is and give them a picture that he can take back w/ him. priceless

Thank you. I've asked around, but haven't found anyone who knows him yet...it was a rather large homecoming. I'm thinking of bringing business cards in the future and just handing them out to people if I happen to snap an image, and asking them to email me to get it. I just couldn't bring myself to interrupt moments like the one above to ask for his email address.

oh yes very understandable. I think that is a nice idea. Maybe a card with a "thank you for all you do" and then add something about you have taken there photo and would like to forward it on??

Thank you Stephanie I'm sure you would be able to get some great shots, it dose have a slight learning curve but from the looks of your shots, which are just beautiful you would have no problem.

Here's one of my best from our Marathon Weekend trip. At least I hope it's ok. The contrast on my monitor is screwy and it looks weird for me. Hoping it looks ok to all of you; not too noisy.....

It was SO COLD over our trip that I didn't take many pics. Fooling with my bag and removing my gloves was always such a pain. Plus, DH was running/recovering for some of the trip so a lot of times it was me and DS4 on our own. Not conducive to stopping and taking pics! But I think I did ok with this one!
