Photo Scavenger Hunt Ideas

Bumping this so maybe we'll get more good ideas!

Can't remember if this one has been mentioned

CM's in uniforms/costumes - lots of possibilities there.
could also do things by color - red, blue, yellow, etc.

CM's doing different jobs: ride attendant, ballon seller, guide on a ride (jungle cruise, etc), food seller, etc

different food carts,

all kinds of signs - I've been taking pics of signs for a while now, they'll look great in a scrapbook one day!

I've wanted to sit on a curb (like while waiting for a parade) and take photos of all the different kinds of shoes.
Thought it would make a great homemade book for kids.

any other ideas out there?

I just came across this in my subscribed threads and thought of a cool addition to this idea. Dh and I are going in Oct. and his brother and wife will be there too. The competition between brothers is endless, so I think we will be doing the scavenger hunt as a contest...who can photograph the most items from the list by the end of the trip! :thumbsup2

I have said for about the last 3 trips that I was going to take a picture of every sleeping baby/child in a stroller that I see. But I haven't done it yet. They just look so peaceful, and you know that they've worn themselves out having the time of their lives. :)

Here's a couple:

The couple's wearing the bride/groom ears

A little girl in a princess outfit getting an autograph from that particular princess

this is so fun!!!!!

I really like this idea. I think it would be really neat if a bunch of people did this on their own (me included), and post their photos back on a common thread. Anyone interested? If so, I'll start a new thread...

Neat idea! Here's mine:

someone enjoying a mickey bar, the messier the better
The largest fanny pack/backpack
WDW entertainer
Surveyor disks - there was a neat article in the passporter newsletter about these.
fountains - I have always wanted to do a fountains of the world page
A picture of yourself as a reflection from something
a souvineer you will never be able to afford

Are we the only ones, bobcat? :confused3

When in August are you going? We will be there the 4th - 14th at Pop. I would love to do something like this!

Carolc I think we just needed you to bump this to refresh everyones memory! Even mine

Just came across this site and what a great idea. I love taking pictures and I love to scrapbook (even though my pictures have far outnumbered my scrapbooks) :guilty:

I love taking pictures so much that my husband calls me the paparazzi. My parents got me a digital camera for christmas and I send out "weekly" pictures to friends and family. Everyone loves the pictures but thinks I am crazy that I take so many. :rolleyes1

I plan to go to Disney armed with my digital camera (with lots of memory cards) and my 35 mm as well as a few disposable......

Excellent! Glad to see some interest... :)

Bobcat - I will be at WDW from Aug 16-23

Let's see, how can we plan this? Here is the original site that inspired me... http://www.pbase.com/baesdphotoclub/disneyland_part_deux everyone in this club went on the same day. We have to figure out a way to do this so everyone can go on their own, and post in a central location when they get back from their trips. Any ideas?

I think we should post the thread over on the photography board when we figure out how to do this... :thumbsup2

Well let me give this a go...

Steps
Fireworks
Someone taking a picture
Character waving
Ticket Booth (Ticket Taker)
Light Post
Water (Lake, waterfall, stream...)
Bird (easy at Animal Kingdom...but the rest of the parks could be a challenge)

Thanks for the post and the idea. Sounds like alot of people are going to enjoy this.

This would be a lot of fun...being that it is summer it is a great idea to have a scavengar hunt for your children. My girls ages 9 and 4 are on a scavengar hunt to find and take their pictures with as many volkswagon beatle bug cars!!! What a hoot!

Great ideas, Flora Fan :thumbsup2

Here's a thought for organizing:

Have one main thread which lists the basics, and has links for other threads. Each one of the (sub) threads will be one of the categories (steps, signs, fireworks, etc). What do you think?

Also, how many categories do you think we should have? Is 20 too many?
