I pre-ordered photo pass for my March trip. I was just about to order it and it's asking for shipping. Is this new? I don't remember paying extra for shipping before. I thought shipping was included in the 99.00 dollar pre purchase price.

Yup they changed it I pre-ordered mine maybe March 5th or so and was shocked to see a 7 dollar shipping when I went to order. I called and yes I guess they have changed it and now charge shipping. I was beyond mad!

I believe that the new policy affects orders placed after February 24th. The new policy also affects the pre-order Photopass Book. Orders placed before 2/24 had free shipping and an unlimited number of pages (up to 60), the new policy includes only a 20 page book and you have to pay for each additional page and shipping.

Yep. I found all that out the hard way. My preorodered book had several extra pages and I paid out the rear for it. Never again will I do the book.

Is the new policy to charge shipping for the actual cd/photobook ordered after 2/24, or to charge shipping for the cd/photobook for the prepurchases purchased after 2/24? (hope that makes sense)

I pre-ordered in march and there were 0's in the shipping charge section. Does this mean I will need to pay shipping after creating the cd and photobook now?

I pre-ordered maybe March 5th or so and when I redeemed it and ordered it a few days later I had to pay the shipping. I think you had to pre-order before Feb 24th to have it free. When i did the whole pre-order I saw nothing for shipping until I went to order it then the 7 was there.

I LOVE your signature picture. Did you take that?

Anything ordered after 2/24..preorder or not is charged shipping

Yes, the book is $10.00 and the CD is $7.

I pre-ordered the book/cd combo as well- just placed my book order last night- cost me $12 to ship and $35 for the extra pages ( I got a little out of hand)- Most of our photos came good- we ended up with 88 that they took at the parks and I am well over 600 with edits(still not done) I'm not sure if it was worth it or not- I am doing a book on Shutterfly as well for our whole trip (baseball game/WDW/Sea world) and must say Shutterfly has so many more layout options and they only charge $1 page after 20 where Disney charged $1.75- the only thing the disney site has going for it is the cover design and the disney background pages. Not sure if I would pre-order again- if I could have gotten the original deal I would order again in a second.

Ok I'm a little confused about the whole photo pass thing. I get how you get the card and where to find the photographers etc.
Its the after bit i.e what does everyone mean by pre order CD's etc and how does that work? What is the best deal for the most ammount of photos? I think by what I have read on the photopass website that the number of photos on the CD is unlimited? however I might be getting that bit wrong :confused3

I hope this is the right place to ask this or if not can some one point me in the right direction.

I know! Mine was 34.50 including the shipping, EXTRA! Not a good deal at all.
Did you know that shurtterfly has a free 8x8 book offer right now. I just did one of those for MIL. 20 page limit, but you can alot more pics on each page. Disney's max was 4. I got more pics in 20 pages than I did on the Disney one, with extra pages.

You just have to order the shutterfly one by April 15 to get ther free deal.

You can pre-order the CD here: http://www.disneyphotopass.com/previsitcdplan.aspx

All of your photopass pics will be sent to you on CD, regardless of how many you end up with.

Thats great as my DH would say I'm easily :confused3

Will have a good look at that link.

There is a preorder link that you and buy the CD before you actually go. (You can actually order it anytime before the final sale.
It's $99 while to buy it at the regular price is $129. So you save a little money. You still have to pay shipping on it though. Yes you have unlimieted pictures on it. And you can "edit" your pictures online at the site and add borders, etc, which will then make a copy, so you total amount of pictures goes up each time you edit one. I did a share and we had almost 1400 pics on our CD. I think min was half of them. LOL! I went edit crazy, but I did have about 222 pictures taken to start with.

If you want to belong to a share, go to the budget board and find a group that is going the same time you are.

This is the preorder link.

Wow! That would be an unwelcome surprise. I got lucky and ordered before the change so my 58 page book that would have cost over $150 with shipping only cost $50 in the pre-purchase plan. I really like that I was able to have Disney themed layouts and use the Disney stock photos, but there is no way I would have made such a big book if I had to pay for each page.

I totally agree with you about Shutterfly. They have a much better layout selection, and a much better price. Did you need a coupon code for the free 8x8 book?

I have done shutterfly for the past 2 years. I just did some for our trip a few weeks ago. I have always been very impressed with the quality.
I did also get some free book offers and used 3 I got! it may not be free for everyone. Some times they add them to emails to get yo to order. I did not get any free for right now but did a few weeks ago. I made 3 from our trip, one for Epcot, Disney World, and one for the hotel fun!
