Photo pass pt2 - take your camera or leave it at home

Hey guys. Just curious how many of you all are going to leave your camera at home and do photo pass alone. I have a digital, but the upcoming trip DH is sitting out. So, would you take the camera or do PP without a camera? If I had to buy Kodak camera's, I would do PP and save the camera money for a CD. But, I have a Digital. This is my brothers first trip ( 23 ) my mothers second trip. My dd and myself have been a lot, but should I take the camera

Anyone got home with no pics on there photo pass?

I would take the camera. The CM's will take a picture of you with your camera as well as theirs. If something were to happen with the Photopass (i.e. pictures getting lost somehow), then you have pictures on your camera as a back up.

Also, you might want to take pictures of things that wouldn't be included in the photpass. If you check out the photography board there's a thread called something like "show me photos the average tourist wouldn't take" and some other threads with pictures people have taken - you can get some great ideas there if you're interested.

Take the camera for sure! Photopass only captures the major landmarks. You'll want your own pics, too.

We take our own. Most of the time DHs photos are just as goo if not better than photopass people's photos. We do like the photopass for the special effects they can do on there. It's the non-character shots though that tell the story of our disney trips (DD covering her ears on Pooh ride, then proudly beaming with her Pooh lollipop, DD excitedly pointing things out and turning my head to make me look at things in Small World). It's those moments that the photopass people won't catch for you, but are what you're going to remember about your trip.

Take the camera because there are probably some shots that you will want to capture that you can't get a CM to take. I too have to agree with the person who said that their Dh's photos turned out better than the Photo Pass ones. My pictures the last time were so much better than the ones taken by CM's. And you can't guarantee that their photos will turn out either.

I plan on bringing my own as well. I like to get shots of the kids on the rides, looking at things all excited, stuff inside the rides, parades, fireworks, etc. The photopass people arent everywhere in the parks.

Definitely take your own. My best friend and I were disappointed because not all of the characters had photopass people with them. We ended up taking a lot of pictures with our own cameras because of it.
