Photo pass plus

Pretty much. I haven't looked at MM in detail; so I haven't really taken a look at what the differences are; but the major difference might be MM allows you to download the pictures. I think you can order a CD; but that's extra. With PP+, you get the CD (and we have to pay the extra international shipping fee).

From what I can see MM costs $150 with the preorder discount or $200 at the parks. I got the cd with photopass+ last time! but I think I would be just as happy with downloading the pics (I mean with the cd I put all the pics on the computer then stuck the cd in a drawer and it's not seen the light of day since!)

I've heard a few people say that they didn't think the DCL one was as good value as the WDW/DL photo packages.

I loved getting the attraction photos and I don't think we will want to queue for photo ops on the cruise (other than the character meet and greets which we can take the photos ourselves) so I think if we aim to get one nice formal night photo I will just buy a print of that:)

Anyone who has bought (or wish they had bought) the photo package on DCL I'd love to hear your opinions:)

The DCL package isn't as good value as the WDW one. However we still bought a package and are pleased we did.

I bought the 10 photo package and upgraded to the 20 photo one near the end of the cruise when it was clear I wouldn't be able to just pick 10. It was still a challenge to decide on just 20, but the 'everything' package was too much of a stretch on the budget.

It is very easy to get caught up in the photo opportunities on the cruise. The queueing is usually fairly minimal and the photographers just did a better job than me of getting crisp, clear images in the artificial lighting.

We got quite a few pics taken on formal night, but I only bought one of them. They just weren't as flattering as I'd hoped, and also very staged looking. It's the beautiful character pics of my son that I feel in love with, along with a great one of us taken on pirate night, and some nice ones in front of the ship on Castaway Cay.

Think I will try to go in with an open mind then:) The 10 or 20 package I could do, but like you he 'everything' package is just too much money.

We're not going to Disneyland until October. Would we better off waiting till closer to the time to order the pass?

Does anyone know if they traditionally have specials or an annual price rise, or is $69 the best deal we're likely to get?

On our 2009 WDW and DL trip we used the (same) Photopass card then and thought it was great. Their wasn't an option to include the ride photos then, but if I'm reading this correctly, they're included as standard now?

Do we need to decide when buying the pass between getting them on disc or using download, or can we decide once we've seen the pictures?

TIA. :)

We usually pre purchase PhotoPass prior to our trips just for the discount!
I have purchased our DL PhotoPass + for July already. It took about 16 days to arrive.
We have done one DCL - 12nights and CD cost $399 plus all prints an extra $75 on top of that! Very pricey but I think I would buy again simply because there are many photos with all of us rather than one missing holding the camera.
I haven't looked an Memory Maker as it wasn't offered when I prepurchased the PP last year.

I haven't seen them less than $69 (for DL).

We did WDW & DL in 2011 and used the same card, in 2013 we were not able to so had to buy one for each resort.

Ride photos were included, and also some dining photos (with physical print out of photos - loved that). Need to check details of what though.

With PPP, we could look through the photos and make edits, and then choose download or CD.

Just wondering ~ we will be 6 adults ~ is it possible to have a card for each person but linked to the PP+ that I have ordered ??

Thanks once again for your great info, suggestions and advice everybody :thumbsup2

Does anyone know if you canto I to your photopass account during your vacation and download photos then? Or save to iphone to share on Facebook etc?

Or do you really need to wait until the end and download all at once?

You can only get one photopass plus card. But you can get other photopass cards. So someone will have the PP+ card and others can have a regular photopass card (although that will not work for ride or meal photos, just photopass photographer photos).

At the end of the trip, when you log into the website you can enter as many photopass cards as you like and get all of the photos put onto the one CD.

You used to be able to take a photo of your photopass + card and use the photo at the ride to add to the pass, they may still accept this, but I think it's pretty much been stopped.

The other way to do the ride photos is the people who don't have the card. When they get off the ride, take a photo of their photo (or write down the photo number) and then go back later with the card once they have collected it from the others in the group. You give your photo number at the desk when you return to the ride and they will add the photo to the photopass+ card. The photos are kept for 24 to 48 hours (can't remember which, they will be able to tell you that when you pick up your photopass+)

When we were in Magic Kingdom we had standard photo cards added onto our PP+ account and other family members used them. Didn't realise you could wait and do it on-line.

We bought the photo pass plus for our trip to WDW in nov 2013. It certainly sounds like a great thing to have and we did get some nice pictures , we did think that the number of PP photographers was a little on the light side. Sure they were around in most of the usual places, but at times at some of picturesque sites we were dissapointed. I'm not sure if others have experienced the same or we were just unlucky or overly critical!

I tend to feel the same, I just don't get the value from it. Plus it feels like, nine times out of ten you're looking into the sun so they can get the background they're after. We've done it a few times in the past but skipped the last couple.

We're just back from our trip, our PP+ took almost a month to get to Australia so I would be ordering at least 6 weeks in advance. There were heaps of photographers at California Adventure but very little at Disneyland which was disappointing. All up we got about 300 shots which vary as to how well they look. For some reason our photos from goofy's kitchen are not showing and I'm pretty sure a few ride photos are missing but we have plenty of others.

Even though photographers were thin on the ground in DL I still think PP+ is worth it for the character breakfast hard copies alone and/or for a first visit.

Something I did forget that was included about PP+ was the photos you receive at the character and other dining locations. While we probably wouldn't have bought them had they not been included they were a great bonus to get.

I love all my meal and ride pics.....saved a fortune...we just kept riding over and over and getting the multiple shots.......:thumbsup2

Same here, I am a big sucker for those ride photos. Getting the PP+ was worth it just for them.

I think the Disneyland one is better value since it's still photopass+. I'm pretty sure memory maker no longer includes prints of the meal photos, just the digital (unless the print in included in the price already like at Akershus). I think at WDW I'd opt for at he attractions plus and just get all the ride photos for $50.

I didn't know you could just get the ride photos as a package. Thanks for letting me know:)

Might do that this time, I loved getting the ride photos but don't think we will bother queuing at the photopass points this time.
