Photo pass + is back!

If I purchase the week can I download the photos to my computer and order prints from them? In the past with the disc it came with permission to print the photos

The downloads I got at WDW came with a release. I can't imagine these wouldn't.

Good catch! I wonder if that is the intent or if they will change the wording. If that is the intent, it becomes a much better value!
Based on what Photopass has posted on their Facebook page, it does sound like the intent of the Disney PhotoPass Collection ($99) was to allow guests to be able to download photos that span a 45-day period (you just have to make sure the photos are in your account before you enter the product code). If that is the case, then that's actually a pretty good deal...
A Product Code redeemable at Disneyland.com/PhotoPass for unlimited digital downloads of all PhotoPass photos, including select attraction photos, in your account (up to 45 days of photos).

I am downloading the pics from our July 13-18 trip now.

You do not have to present your phone. They need full brightness usually to scan the phone pp codes and that drains the battery so badly. We just do the same as we used to do and get a plastic card the first day and present that each time and then at the end I input that code and the ride codes into my pp account. You can do that one the phone or the computer. There does not seem to be a pre-order incentive at this point. The price is the same and you do not have to take a voucher to get your card. Perhaps they will start that again at a later date, but just having a reasonable price for a vacation's worth of photos is deal enough for me. We don't particularly care about the borders or stock pics though I would spend time after each trip adding borders to all our photos. I didn't usually use them tho, so for us that is not a value lost.

We ended up with 147 photos from our recent trip...most were on one day, but there were enough on a second day that I was going to break down and buy those and I was going to add 1-2 parade shots and ride photos so that would have been apx $106 vs the $69 I just paid for way more photos. I am bummed that I paid for our dining package photos at Plaza Inn and truly those are a waste.

So correct me if I am getting this wrong - we can either buy before we leave Australia and get a card at our first photo location and use that card for the next 7 days. or we can buy the 7 day pass at the Photo shop in Disneyland and get a card to use for the 7 days that way? We just present the card at each photo location. Like we used the cards last time?

What do you mean purchase the package at the meal?

Even though we were still at Disney, they would not add the photos from the 2 meals we attended to our photopass account. I was asking about the product and 2 separate people told me they would find my dining photos and put them on the account to have with the rest of our photos. The 2 pulled them up and we saw them, but then a manager came and said that because the photos had been taken on Sunday and Monday and the product came out Tuesday, they would not add them to my account. She said they would add anything from Tuesday, which there was none, but even though we were still In The parks because the products started Tuesday, we could not have our dining pictures added without having bought the photos when they brought them around in print packages for $35 each at the restaurant. So frustrating to see them and know they were there, but to be told because they were 1 and 2 days early we could not have them added into our account.

Have you tried calling the photopass customer service line? They might be able to add them for you. It wouldn't hurt to try...

From the Disney PhotoPass Facebook page:

Disney PhotoPass+ One Week can be purchased for $69 before, during, or after your visit to Disneyland Resort only through Disneyland.com/PhotoPass.

I'm not seeing references to cards anywhere but I'd assume they're still doing that since there doesn't seem to be any indication this has changed. It does say you activate online, though. I'm going to call tomorrow and find out for sure. I'd hate to have to show my phone every time I wanted to have a picture taken!

Feeling dumb here, but I thought the PhotoPass is free...you just purchase the pics you want. We are only going to be there for 2 days. It doesn't seem worth it to pay $69 for few photos.

The photographers taking your photo is free. If you want copies of the photos, you can purchase them individually (I'm not sure of the exact cost but I believe that it is close to $20 per photo). You can by a one day PhotoPass plus, which is $39. This entitles you to all photos taken on one day. Or you can get the week package at $69. It depends on how many photos you take as to its value. It's not impossible to take 20 or more photos a day.

You can purchase these things after you visit so that would allow you to look at the photos and decide after they are taken.

Aaahhh! I get it. Thanks for the run down!

So happy to hear about this 7 day option!! Really hope they are still using cards though. Using our phone everytime could get complicated! Especially if we split up at all for rides n such and what if my battery dies. Really hoping this is not the case and cant wait to hear from folks about how their experience with this was.

My understanding is you get a card from the first photographer and use that for the duration of your visit. You scan the back of the card into the app to connect it to your account. The only exception is for ride photos. You need to get the code on your ride photo and manually enter it into your app. If you look at the app itself it makes more sense. Additionally if you aren't using the app you can manually enter the code from your card and ride photos online. If your group splits up and you end up with multiple cards just make sure to scan/enter all your cards

Im not sure how fastpass+ works, can anybody enlighten me? So we buy it, but what if my family splits up to ride different things and end up taking different photos with different CMs, what do we do then? Do they give you a special card for all the family or a number? I'm confused D:

See my post right before yours. You can scan/enter codes from multiple cards to your account

ok so if i don't purchase this when im there or before can i purchase after and include all the pics we took on it even dining pictures? Or must you have already purchased it before you arrive at the park for you to be able to add pics to it? I don't need the dining pics printed it would be nice but not necessary. But can i still add then to the pp+ after or do i already need to have an active pp+.

We just got home late last night. I think I might try that very thing. I was surprised when the manager told the employee she could not add them to our account even after 2 employees said that they could and they found them and pulled them up in the system. If they are there, then I know they could add them to the account if they wanted to. The photopass customer service phone people have always been pretty helpful when we have had issues, maybe they will add them. Thanks!

Just a quick note about the attraction photos...when you write down the code (or take a photo), make sure you include the letter(s) at the start. Most (all now?) of the attractions include those letters on the display at the end of the attraction where you can view your photos (e.g., the photos for RSR begins with "R" and then the number), but some do not. So when you view the photo at the end of the attraction, if it does not start with a letter, ask the CM at the Photopass counter what letter is needed. They might have fixed this, but when they first rolled out the AP photopass, I remember having trouble with one attraction because I didn't know what letter was needed.

You can buy the PP+ before, during or after your visit. You have up to 45 days after to choose and download your photos. Dining photos are included; prints are not.
