Photo Pass... Help! (with getting 4x6 prints printed)

If you edit the ORIGINAL (not the edited 5x7s that you added borders to) and add the border(s) you wanted again with the 2 4x6's selected in the menu then your picture count *should* be increasing. (Or at least, mine did.) When you re-edit photos you've already edited, your new edits replace the old ones and your picture count doesn't go up. If you edit the original, it saves the edits as a copy and increases your picture count. At least, I think that's how it's *meant* to work.

If you want both 4x6's and 5x7's (or 8x10's or other dimensions) of a certain photo WITH one of the Photopass borders, I would edit the ORIGINAL photo specifically for each dimension that you want to order prints of and save each of them as a copy. If you look closely, you'll notice that the cropping will be different for each dimension you save. Yes, it's going to take a bunch of time to do all those edits, especially if you are using multiple borders with the same original image, but I believe that will get you the most reliable print results.

I hope that helps. Good luck tusseling with your photos, everyone.

(Now if I could get Photopass to let us use all their super awesome borders with our uploaded photos and include them on the CD as well (even for more $$) I would be a happy camper myself.)

Here's another helpful tip -- when you order the prints -- if you choose to order (4x6) instead of TRUE DIGITAL they will not come out right if they were taken with a digital camera. TD prints are 4x5.3 (instead of 4x6) and 8x12 (instead of 8x10). I just went through this with my digital prints from Disney. I suggest that you order one or two in True Digital (NOT 4x6) to see if this will fix the problem. When I edited my Photopass prints I DID NOT save them as 4x6, and when I ordered them, I ordered them as True Digital Prints. They all were printed perfectly. It doesn't really matter what size you save them as, but it does matter what size you ORDER them as. When you choose to order 4x6 photos taken with a Digital Camera they are not going to come out right.

This worked for me as well. I printed out mine in 4 x 6 and had several with edges that were cut off. I went back to the Walgreens site and re-printed the photos in true digital. All my photos printed out fine. When you are on the Walgreens site choose true digital--not 4 x 6.

Thanks for the info mlittig.
I realize now what I was supposed to do...
just wish I knew it before I put the order through.
Also... I didn't realize photopass was open 7 days a week.... I'll have to call them right now and see what happens.
