I did see something a while ago that allowed you to buy a ride photo package...is was around $50 is it still available?

I believe so. I bought one in December. It was great. I'm pretty sure I still saw signs advertising it last week, but didn't purchase one this time.

Great Thanks..... I am a keen photographer so I don't need the memory maker. Is there a limit on the ride pics you can put on there?

I had never heard about this - it sounds perfect for us. I hope it is still available in April/May.

Did you ONLY buy the ride photo package (around $50), or did you ADD it to PP that you had already purchased?

Maybe that was how it worked in December (although I only remember reading about the option to upgrade PP to PP+ in order to get the ride and meal photos... I don't remember ever seeing a package that only had the ride photos).

By our January trip, the only options were classic PP (no ride photos), MM (with ride photos), or ordering/downloading individual photos.

We just did this a couple weeks ago. It is called Attractions+ and it's just under $50 (well, just over once the tax is added on). You can purchase it at any ride photo claim counter, so after your first ride, just buy it and you'll get a card that you present after every ride to add them to your account.
One thing that was a little inconvenient is that you have to have the physical card to claim the photo, so if your group splits up, make sure the ones riding the photo ride have the card. If you forget, you can go back with the photo number and claim your photo later.
No limits on how many photos you can claim and add to your account.
The only issue we had was with Hollywood Studios photos, and it was fixable. On day 1, we added the Attractions+ photo card number to my Photopass online account and from that point EXCEPT from HS. For those to appear, I had to re-add the Attractions+ card number to my account. :confused3:
Over all, I'm pleased with Attractions+, however, I assumed that when I downloaded the photos, I would have access to the same neat photo borders that you can get on the photos at the ride. Nope. There is a border available for each ride photo, but it's pretty plain. Ride name, year, and a color around the edge. Kindof bummed about that.

Interesting! I guess because we had MM, I didn't pay any attention to the signs at the ride photo counters. I can't find any mention of Attractions+ on the website, but I guess that's because they want to "encourage" you to buy the whole package in advance (and it worked, because I did :rotfl2:).

That's a good option for people who don't want the whole MM thing, for basically the cost of 3 individual photos. We had a lot of fun trying to take funny photos on rides because we knew we'd get the pics this time.

The only downside was that the system was down on one of our DHS mornings, so they didn't take photos for ToT or RnRC. I kind of felt cheated because I had already "paid for" those photos... but nothing you can do about technical difficulties like that. Luckily it was up by the afternoon, plus we had a second DHS day to do it all again.

Attractions+ is only sold in parks, so you won't find anything on it on the PhotoPass web site since you can't buy it online.

It's not going anywhere.

Thanks...So i's called Atrractions+...where do we buy this at guest services?

You can buy it at the photo counter when you get off any of the rides where photos are taken. When I did it, they game me a special photo pass card. I'm not sure if they can add it to your MB or not now.
