We are doing a back to back in January 13-17 and then 17-22 Marvel Day at Sea.
We usually will do the photo package with the full everything on the thumb drive just because we usually have photos from dinner, Palo, and the character meets. Yes its expensive and probably could save a little based on the number of photos on a given cruise. March 2020 Star Wars day at sea cruise was right before the shut down and we had lots of photos from the Star Wars day. We also like to look back and see the kids over the years as the cruises kind of document the kids and the Disney interactions the 1st one back in 2012. We also like to get the photos of the servers and the crew that make the cruise so special.

Being back to back cruise I assume we would need to buy the package 2x as 2 different cruises.

Just wondering those that have been on board with the covid stuff, if its really worth it given the lack of character meet and greets.

We really don't need another photo of Mickey and gang being this is our #7 and #8 but its the 1st on the magic and with the Marvel Day we are thinking it might be worth it?

Thoughts from recent cruisers on the Photo Package

I haven’t cruised recently, but I’m pretty sure you can wait until the last day of the cruise to purchase the unlimited package. That way you can see all of your photos before deciding if it’s worth the money or not. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong.

So that was true and probably still is - but if you want a discount (I think there used to be several ways to get a discount) - you had to order first and then cancel (but you still wouldn't be charged until the end - you just have to remember to cancel). Caveat with - did this in the summer of 2019 so I could be mis-remembering the details.

I believe this is still how it works. I think the discount is either 15 or 20% if you book online in advance. We found more photo opportunities sailing now than prior to covid. Lots more photographers around the ship and on castaway for fun candid shots and magic shots with characters.

we were on the 12/5-12/12 Fantasy
we took advantage of as many photo ops as we could
(grandson's first cruise)
we ended up with 318 photos
