My mom is taking me, my brothers and our spouses/kids on a cruise. This will be one of the 1st vacations that we have all been together, so we want lots of pics. How would you do the photo packages?

Room 1 - Dad A, Mom A, Child A
Room 2 - Dad B, Mom B, Child B
Room 3- Dad C, Mom C, Child C, Child C
Room 4- Grandmother D, Child B, Child C

(rooms 1 and 2 only sleep 3, rooms 3 and 4 sleep 4)

Can I prepay the photo package for room 1, and add on room 4 at a discount? Since a child of B and C would be in a "paid for" room, would we be able to get all of B ad C family's photos?

I'm not trying to take advantage but I want to purchase the most economical way.

Thanks for the input and BTDT!

If room 1 purchases a full package, room 4 could purchase a full package at 50% off.

Any photos taken with one person from room 1 in them will be on room 1s USB.
Any photos taken with one person from room 4 in them will be on room 4s USB.

Any photos taken with only people from room 2 or 3 in them will not be on either USB.

To get everyone in one of the two packages, I'd suggest you put one adult A and one adult B in room 1, and one adult C and Grandma in room 4.
1. DAD A, DAD B, CHILD A
2. MOM A, MOM B, CHILD B
3. DAD C, CHILD C, CHILD C
4. MOM C, GRANDMA D, CHILD C

Any minor children in a different room than their parent, will be included in the parent's package. So child A would be covered under room 1, child B would be covered under room 1 and child(ren) c would be be covered under room 4.

Mom A, Mom b, and Dad C would not be covered, if they were to photograph alone. But would be covered if their respective spouses were also in the photo.

Once onboard the ship, you can get room keys for the people who need to actually sleep in a different room than they are booked into. And everyone must attend the muster drill for the room they are booked in, not the one they're going to sleep in.

Actually, it's possible that it will cover the adults in the room, because nuclear families across 2 rooms count. But whether they'd let 2 nuclear families in 2 rooms, but mixed up count in the same way, I don't know. You could check with Shutters, but be clear about your question. The question I think they get most often involves grandparents and a nuclear family.

I have never heard that nuclear families spread out in two rooms is included on one package. Is this just minor children? We have our family of five spread out into three rooms, but two of the kids are adults. Would this count as one nuclear family?

If a nuclear family (mom/dad/minor kids) are in two rooms, yes, both rooms can be included in one package.

Multiple rooms with extended family, no.

We were Mom + DS12 in one room and Dad + DS14 in another. I had to go to Shutters on the first night and let them know that we were a nuclear family and wanted all our photos in the package. They made a note on our file and that's what happened. DH had a couple of shots of just him and they were included in my package. I didn't have to 'fight' for it, but I did keep checking. I had gotten an email from Shutters before we went and they told me it was fine and to just let them know that first night.

As for your adult children, I don't know. They might look at them as no longer part of the nuclear family. Sort of equivalent to the 'grandparent' thing.
