Hello all!

I believe I have seen several couples who have gotten wedding or engagement photos printed on canvas, but I just can't remember who they are... :confused3

I'd like to get some more information on:

1 - what companies you used to have the canvas printed
2 - how satisfied were you with the quality
3 - approximately what was the size/price

Here's one company I've found that I thought I might as well share here: http://www.canvasondemand.com/

If anyone has experiences to share, it would be much appreciated!
Thank you!
Leah

I'd be interested to know, too! I was also curious about purchasing a wedding photo printed on canvas and was thinking of going with canvasondemand.com as well. Any reviews? :)

I haven't used them for this yet, but Mpix is having a 25% off sale on canvas through the 18th:

7 Day Sale: 25% off Mpix Gallery Wraps!

Everyone's favorite product is now on sale through August 18th! Get 25% off your Gallery Wrap when you use the promo code gwsale10 at checkout.

Also, I just found out that Costco does gallery wraps (i.e. canvas) and their prices are the lowest I've seen. In fact, I regretted buying a Groupon for Canvas On Demand (which I haven't used yet either—sorry I have no info!) because Costco's prices are better all the time. And reviewers online seem to think the quality is just as good at Cosco.

We need a guinea pig! :lmao:

Hi Carrie! Always great to hear from you! Thanks for the info!

I should have known to check Costo...it is the greatest store ever!

(hope this link works for you guys)

Geez, at these low prices, I might just go get one to try it out! I <3 Costco! :rotfl:

We are also thinking about doing this. Out of what I've researched so far we will either be going through our photographer or Mpix.com

Hi ladies...

Printing it on canvas is just a great way to show off your favorite wedding picture.

I wanted to give my input since I design many of these canvas pictures and am a future Disney Bride...

From my personal experience, I would go with canvasondemand.com if you want quality. I use to order from them a lot before I began printing my own and loved the results. I used Costco and yes it's cheaper but you could def. see a difference in the printing quality. If you don't care about spending the extra dollars I would go with canvasondemand.com

I am a graphics designer and work with a photographer who prints on canvas, his work is just amazing so if any of you would like to compare prices, I would be happy to help you. Just PM me and I'll get you all the details.

Here are samples of some of the work I have done using him to print it.

This was the original pic, I restored it for the client and then printed it on canvas

I got a 20X30 canvas wrap from mpix.com. It cost $130 ($140 with shipping). I am very happy with the quality. The whole process was very easy and it shipped extremely quickly.

I've also gotten a giant print with foam backing from mpix. The quality was fantastic. The original image for the print was a tiny picture from a book. I scanned the picture and it blew up perfectly; I could not believe the quality. This is something to consider if you want to put your picture in a frame. It was 24X36 on a double weight matboard and it cost $73. Without the board, the print was $44.99.

I'll try and take pics later to show.

Groupon has a deal for Canvas on Demand:

For $45 dollars you get a 16x20 extra thick wrapping which also includes shipping.... If you've never used groupon there is only a certain amount of time to buy. Right now you have t-minus 6 hours and 10 mins. I haven't used them but I plan on buying one of these and will gladly review later!

I love this site.... Thought everyone else may also be intrested. (=http://http://www.groupon.com/deals/canvas-on-demand-new-york

I obviously don't understand how this works...lol
I saw this and thought "I totally want that!"... Paid for it... but now never had the option to upload the picture I want on canvas and it says I can't even use it til the 18th....
should I cancel this? I hate complicated stuff...or I"m just an idiot... lol

Don't cancel! This site is legit and easy once you know how it goes. You can find a certificate number under "my stuff" when you log in to groupon. You take that number that is provided and go to Canvas on Demands website. At the very end of your order you will insert the code in the area that says "Coupon or Gift Certificate?"

I also found out that you don't have you use this on a 16x20 you can upgrade and just pay the difference. (=

Hope this helps you...

I've used mpix.com too. They do nice work. I was more than happy with them.:thumbsup2

I know the Roots offer canvases, so if you have them as your photographer then you could use your product credit towarda a canvas.

If they offer the service then other photographers might too. :)

I do have some experience with FinerWorks.com, as I've used them for my fine artwork. There's a print calculator on the homepage, and for a 20 x 30 gallery wrapped canvas the cost is $116.27

It looks like Costco has more size options than they used to! This is great news! As a testament to Costco's quality my hubby used to work for a very high-end photo studio who exclusively used Costco for all of their reprints.

HTH! :goodvibes
