Photo Key tips

We are planning a Discovery Cove, SeaWorld, AquAtica, Busch Gardens trips. There is a very high chance we will end up buying the unlimited PhotoKey packages. Any tips for using photo key or getting the most bang for your dollar?

Some specific questions I have...
How does the photo key work? Do I have a single card I share amongst the family? If the kids go ride a roller coaster do I need to give them the card? What if we split up?
I thought I read they were switching to photo key at discovery cove. Anyone know if this has happened yet?
Any spots you got great pictures, that I should look for?

The only one I can help with is the DC part. As of October 28th, 2015 they were in the process of changing to PhotoKey. We got the package and what used to be the photo cd is now advertised as PhotoKey. They were still giving you both the cd AND PhotoKey though because they hadn't fully converted yet.

I have photo key from Busch Gardens Williamsburg. It is one card linked to your photo key email, but if you don't have it at the time of the photo, you can get a generic card from the photographer and they can combine it at the photo kiosks near the entrance.
