My grandmother passed away this year, and I was hoping to make a photo charm/locket of her and put it on my bouquet. I have looked several places, but everything I find they will send the charm and I have to figure out how to get the picture in there. I have no idea how to do that!:confused3

Is there a place where I can send my picture and the put it in/on the charm/locket for me?
Thanks!

I just purchased a small square silver charm that has a heart cut out in it for a photo from Things Remembered. I had our wedding date engraved on the back and put a wedding photo in it. I am sure this would be wonderful for a photo of your grandmother. You do the photo yourself and you can have grandmother or whatever you called her engraved on the back.

Here is a link to the item from their website. I purchased this in a store in my local mall and had the engraving done within 30 minutes, took it home and put a photo in it.

I did almost the same thing with a photo of my mom, who passed away a few years ago, for my wedding this past November. I purchased a small silver frame and put a photo of my mom in it and pinned it to my bouquet. I do have a photo of this but it is not in my photobuckiet account. When I get up downloaded I will post a picture.

As far as inserting the picture in it - there is a small slit on the top of the charm. There is a small photo in it that you just slide out to use as a guideline to cut your own photo down. There is also a clear piece of plastic that goes on top of the photo to keep it covered. It took me about two minutes to do this.

I found small charms at it was either Pat Catans or Michaels...you cut the photo to fit and it has a small clear plastic that you then put over the picture the one I made for my daughter to add to her bouquet turned out really well.

Here are photos of the front and back of the charm I just purchased at Things Remembered.

I used the clasp to attached to my silver charm bracelette.

Here is photo of the charm of my mom that I put on my bouquet. I purchased this from (like the prior poster) Michaels in their jewlery crafting area and put in the photo and brought it down to Disney with me. I did not give it to my floral person prior to the morning of our wedding. When I received my bouquet the morning of the wedding, I just used one of the pins and pinned it on myself.

When we came home I made a shadowbox with our invitation, menu card, Just Married pin, wedding pins, my garter belt, our room key with my new name on it and the frame with my moms picture in it from my bouquet.

You can either find a picture where the person is already far away, use a photoshop-esque program to make a picture smaller, or go to Walgreens or some other place and have wallet sized photos made, then trim it down. :thumbsup2

There is a company called http://www.inthepinkdesigns.com In The Pink and it creates sterling silver jewelry with photos on it. The photos are make on enamel and then coated in glass, so they can get wet, cleaned, etc. and they will last a lifetime. It is possible to order a key chain from her and take it off the key ring. I had both a key chain made and a necklace made with my children's picture in it for mother's day.

This is the best pic I have of it at the moment:

Check it out. It's kind of pricey, but you email her a pic and she does all the work. I love my necklace and I'll probably have something made for my bouquet for my son Michael, who passed away.

The picture in my charm was taken from a photo where we were very far away - like this photo only we were facing each other.

Same with the photo of my mom. It was actually taken from a photo when were were in Disney a few years ago and I believe Spaceship Earth is in the background - so her face was very small in the photo.

The girls at Things Remembered suggested taking a photo and making a copy on a copy machine and reducing the size. I like the idea of making it a wallet size picture like from one of those Kodak machines at CVS (I use those machines all the time).

CinderelliT - love the necklace you had made. It is beautiful. I have been wearing my charm for over a week and have washed the dishes, taken showers and washed my hair and it has gotten wet and the photo if fine.
