I am thinking of attempting this as a Christmas present for my family but have never done one. are there any coupons out there and what is the best website to use?

thanks

I like Shutterfly, and I think they still have a 30% off promo going on. I've used Snapfish and found it similar. Since I'm into digital scrap booking, I like to create pages with the program I use (Creative Memories) and upload them to a site that has a good deal. This gives me more flexibility with photo sizing and layouts.

I have made about a dozen photobooks now and I have to say Snapfish and shutterfly are both easy to use and have discount codes out there right now. Check e-bates (select either snapfish or shutterfly and then choose to look at their coupons and cashback) for all their current coupons.

Kodak Gallery is comparable in quality and price to Snapfish and Shutterfly but it's no where near as easy to use.

For the highest quality books I have to recommend either photoworks or Picaboo, but be prepared to pay the big bucks. Picaboo's books are about double the cost of the snapfish or shutterfly books and the photobook software for these two sites is not as easy to use.

I recently made my first photo book via Walgreens, with a 50% coupon using out pictures from our WDW, Seaworld, FL trip this past October. I gave it to my father today for his birthday, he loved it (so did my Mom) since they could not go with us. Walgreens was very easy to use and I got my book in less than a week.

I like Blurb for the print quality.

Right now they have free shipping through Dec. 10 with code FESTIVE

I have 3 books sitting on our coffee table now and I absolutely love Shutterfly..I received one from Picaboo and I was not pleased with the quality of the photos in their book..

I'm thinking about doing the same thing but I'm worried about being pressed for time. I was checking around online tonight and went to samsclub.com to see what they had. For $24.00 you can get a 20 page hardback scrapbook and it will autofill the book for you (BIG timesaver). I'm guessing you can rearrange the photos if you don't like the autofill, but it's for my Dad who has Alzheimer's. I don't want to imply that I don't care enough about him to take the time to make it really nice, but he honestly won't notice if the pictures seem a bit random.

I can't speak to the quality however. We're also doing a photo collage either 20x24 or 16x20 I can't remember. They autofill that as well and it's under $8.00.

They also have really cute Disney plates under the gifts section for kids. The childs photo is printed right on the plate with Disney characters. These werew a bit more (like $14.00).

I love Shutterfly!! I've using them since 2005 for photo books. Great quality and easy to use program. They also have an auto fill option. :)
