Photo book

Thinking of purchasing the photo book on the ship. Would love to hear comments from those that have one.
How many pictures does it hold ? What size ? Is there room in the back to add some of your own ?
Do you get it the last day or is it mailed to you ? Any other info would be appreciated.

If you decide you don't want to go this route, consider customizing one for yourself using the Disney Photopass site. They have pages for DCL and you can upload any of your own photos for the book, including the Shutters photos, I believe.

No you can't add to the back it is like a story book, glossy pictures. I think has 34 pictures , they are not big pictures but framed with Disney themes in the background. I think the book is like the book is a odd size maybe 8x6 ? You can always look at a sample on the ship and decide later. You get to decide what pictures you want and where I believe.

I can't remember if they said it would be mailed or not. We wanted to do the mouse pad on our Star Wars trip but were from Canada so we couldn't because it would have to be shipped and would cost more than the mouse pad...lol

We get a book each time we cruise. We like it as we never end up doing anything with photos. We aren't photo people and push ourselves to get enough photos to fill the book, so it works out well for us. It holds 34 photos. The sizies of the photos vary - each page has 2 photos, with one larger than the other (e.g 4 1/2 x 5 and a 5 x 61/2 are on one page). You can't add your own photos to it, just what as been taken by the Shutters photographers. It is mailed out to you. There is a small shipping fee.
If you decide to do it, make sure you start building your book as soon as you get photos done. Keep building it until on the last night you only have the final few to do. The reason is that the last night is chaos and trying to do the whole book at once will be an unhappy experience. Also if you look every day (or so), you will pick up if there are any photos missing.

We got the book. We weren’t interested in the photo package because like another poster said... we never do anything with them. The book worked well because it came done and we can reflect back on everything we did and not just the few photos we’d of bought had we skipped the book.
