Photo book question

Hi, I hope I am posting this in the right place. I thought about posting on the photography board, but it seems a better fit here.

I am trying to make an autograph book for our next trip. The idea is to use pictures of my daughter from our previous trips with each of the characters on one side and have an autograph spot on the opposite page. The 8X8 storybooks seem to be the perfect size.

The question is, are there any photo sites that will let me use my own backgrounds and fonts to make a photo book. I played with the one at Walmart.com and Shutterfly and while they are nice I would really like to use my own fonts and backgrounds, especially on the autograph side.

I don't know if this helps, but I made a photobook to spring the surprise of our last disney trip on my son and daughter. I also wanted to use my own backgrounds, but what I did was create my image as though it were a digital scrap page, and then just used my saved image as a single photo on each page. (Instead of one of their layouts, I just used the option to have each page be a given photo.)

So for example, I sent this entire edited image as one photo, rather than just the shot of Nicky in his cap and gown.

(The next page said "We're going to Disney World!", in case you were wondering, lol.)

At any rate, then you can use pretty much any photo book service. I used Walmart, and got one of the nice cloth books with the photo cover. He still reads that thing, although the digital "scrapping" I did looks pretty primitive to me now!

do you have a program like Photoshop to make your own pages? If so, you can make your own pages in Photoshop and then when you do your shutterfly book, select a 1pic per page, and pick the full photo page. Then when you put your scrapbook page in it it will be your creation. I do my books with Shutterfly but use none of there layouts, i do all mine in photoshop and print with shutterfly. Any more questions, just ask

Thank you both for your replies. I do have Photo Impact and Picture it! that I like to play around with. We had a snow day yesterday and I made 5 pages...this is really quite addicting. I may start to do all of my scrapbooks this way.
