Wishes2you, I sent you a PM on this but will repost my reply here as there are others who are also interested.

I have the 200 and love it. It isn't too big and is very comfortable to wear. There is a front pocket for a few necessities other than camera stuff (wallet, keys etc) plus inside there are some small zip pockets for batteries, etc.

I actually carry three different lenses (plus the lens on my camera), our small video camera and tapes, and even our point and shoot camera in it.
There is an outside side pocket that you could carry your cell phone in as well.

I'd highly recommend it!!

Oh, and I bought mine at Best Buy up here in Canada.

I have a Nikon with a 18-55 lens and a 70-300 lens--- which bag should I go with? I wonder if the 200 will be too big and I'll regret not getting the other one... there is only a $5 difference on eBay... HELP! I want to order today so that I will have it for Disney! Thanks!

With the 200 you'll only have 1 of 4 lens storage spaces filled. I'd go with the 100 unless you're planning on buying more lenses soon.

I've got the 100 and can squeeze in my Canon XT with a Taron 18-250 mounted, and still get the old 18-55 and 75-300 all in there. Plus up top I carry a lens cleaner, pepto, crackers, small stuff and the like. I ended up buying the water bottle holder for an add on and it looks like rain we roll our poncho's up and stuff them in there. Works great for us. If I take the 75-300 lens out I can put our JVC HD camcorder in there as well.

I've got the 100 AW. In it, I carry:

D90
18-200 (+hood)
30 1.4 (+hood)
11-16 (+hood)
SB-400 flash
50 1.8

and a tripod on the outside. Plus an extra battery, memory cards, remote, lens cloth, and polarizer.

I think the 100 should be more than enough for you.

I use the extra space in my bag to hold my daughter's snacks and a small umbrella. When my daughter was still in diapers, I turned part of my camera bag into a mini travel diaper bag to avoid carrying a second bag. If I take out 1 lens I can fit 2 additional umbrellas for the entire family to use while in the parks.

I would say go for the 200 if you do not mind carrying the larger bag.

I'll second the 200 if you can manage it. I have the 100 and I have found that I try to carry three lenses along with the one attached and it's a little cramped. Just my .02.

I used the 100 for almost a year, and it did a great job with holding a body and 3 lenses, and then all the little stuff like memory cards and remote switches. I think you would be fine to go that route and save a few bucks. The only reason I bought a bigger bag was because of the Canon 70-200 and 24-70. They're monsters!

I've got the 200 and love it! Holds my camera, 3 extra lenses, flash, remote cord, etc. plenty of space! The only thing I don't like about it is there's no water bottle pocket, but that's not that big of a deal. I had a regular backpack bag and the sling bag is soooo much easier for the parks!

If you are not looking to carry the kitchen sink with you the 100 should be enough for the camera and 2 lenses. I have the 100 that I used with my D40 body, 18-55mm and 55-200mm and hood. There was also room for the 50mm when I purchased that. Up top there was room for all the smaller things like lens cleaners and lens pen, filters, remote, battery and misc personal items. There is a small pouch made for memory cards inside the main camera part so you know right where they are. When I got a bigger camera body (D300) was when I had to upgrade the bag to something more substantial. The D300 would fit in the 100 with the bigger lens mounted but it was a very tight fit and I was afraid that a good hard knock could still damage the camera.

Some folks on here use the Lowepro bags, but I either use a small Domke bag or a Vera Bradley backpack. Why not go to a local camera store or a Best Buy and try a few on?

I just bought the Lowepro 100 Sling. It's great cause I can put the cam and KTTW card and such in easy reach without having to take the bag off.

This is one of the perennial questions on this photography board. I did several searches on DIS before buying my Lowepro 200 but it all really boils down to reading a great deal and then trying several bags on in camera and outdoor gear stores.

I choose a sling bag because I wanted the equivalent of a backpack but also a bag I could quickly move around to the front of my body. The Lowepro 200 works well for me and when moved to the front of my body also provides a convenient resting place to lean my Canon XSi on as I change lenses etc. Downside is that it is a bit awkward for a woman, strap-wise to wear as a backpack when heavily loaded over long distances. But it is well padded and has a built-in raincover and lots of versatility inside.

The other important thing I learned from all my reading is that no one camera bag is perfect for all situations especially if you own a DSLR.

My backpack is my main travel case and I take a toploader (can hold my nikon 70-300 + 50) in my suitcase.

What works for me(and Im short & over 60...OMG...Hummmm) is deciding, while in my room, what kind of shooting I'll be doing today/tonight, then only take that/those specific lens/lenses in my "toploader" to take with me..there's also 2 pockets for cards, tickets & $$..

Durashield Pro Series Sling-Style Camera Case
This is my everyday bag now. I picked it up on the clearance rack at Sam's Club for $24. It is a Lowpro knock off, but for the price I could not pass it up. There is enough room to store my daughter's snacks and prior to potty trained status it fit her diapers and wipes at the top. (I had to leave some accessories behind, but only had to carry one bag.) Right now this back fits all my gear, but I usually leave some stuff at home anyway. My only problem is that my sholder gets sore with just the one strap. Sometimes I can find a sweet spot, but most of the time my sholder is sore. The only other con is that it is a backpack style so during those hot days in the park it makes for a sweety back.

Tamrac 5683 Digital Series Zoom Pack
This was my first bag that I purchased after getting my D40. It is great for times when you only take one lens. It is small and does a great job protecting the camera. I overpaid for this at Circuit City ($39) when they were still in business, but I needed/wanted a bag that night. I loved this bag in the parks because it was not sitting on my back.

I have a Canon EOS 450 series DSLR that I want to take with me on my upcoming trip to the World. I am interested in the Lowepro bags with side access so I can get to my camera quickly. The backpack seems good for distributing the weight all day. The sling seems best for getting to the camera quickly and safely. This trip is for my daughter's first birthday so I don't want to miss a shot but need to be able to stow the camera safely to take care of DD. Have you used either? Any preferences or advice? Thanks!

Oh and another question...the slingshot back is all-weather, so it has a pull out rain cover. Do I need that?
