I know, but it's not often a small-sized display of a picture can still project the grandeur of the object. Kudos on that!

I completely agree. Excellent pic Anewman!

Thanks much, I was not sure I liked it when I snapped it but it grew on me. Full frame no cropping.

Wow - these shots are really nice. Where is that bridge? Barrie

It is at Disneys California Adventure, pretty much the first thing you see when you enter through the main gate.

Magical Mystical Bus in AK.
The incredible artwork all over the bus was just fascinating.

Camera make: NIKON
Camera model: E3100
Resolution: 677 x 604 (reduced for the board)
Focal length: 5.8mm (35mm equivalent: 38mm)
Exposure time: 0.0028 s (1/357)
Aperture: f/2.8
ISO equiv.: 100

I didn't think there was a limit, so I will do an old one (taken in January) from our balcony at AKL and a new one (taken in May) at a local park. Original resolution on both pictures was 2048 x 1536

You may have seen this before, as it was in one of the weekly contests. It's Expedition Everest and the picture was taken from our balcony at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. It was taken using a monopod I picked up a couple weeks before our trip. I really liked the ambience of the shot which was taken just around dawn giving the great colours to the sky and the fog rising off the ground. I used the landscape setting on my Canon S1 IS.

Second shot taken at a local park with a structure which was designed based on the Summer Palace near Beijing in China. Again I liked the ambience of the shot and the water element. What I don't like is the little tree branch in the foreground on the left edge of the picture, but that is of course fixable.

I realized I submitted a bus not a car. If there's no limit then I'll submit a building. Feel free to delete it if you'd like.

This was taken in AK last month.

Why can't I ever find that building at AK. Went there at least (total) 7 days in the past 2 years and never seen it. :(

Its really not a building. Its a small structure that would be for something religious related. Though it very well could be a small replica. Its located in Asia. If you are coming from Discovery Island towards Everest it is located just before you get to Everest. Right across from where that large structure that has the monkey's is. The particular structure in the above photo is 1 of 2 in that area. Its small and is fenced off. Just behind the structure to the right is a long set of stairs that go into the water.

Here is another picture to show the area better, you can see a small part of the Everest ride on the very far right side:

Actually this picture might be a better to show its location. Just to left of where I stood to take the pic is where the small black monkey's are.

The last 2 were really just to clarify location of another post, sooooo, I'll submit another one for the assignment. Since I was able to make it to Disney during this month here is another. Inspired by Kelly's photo that won her the photo contest a few weeks back:

Thanks for the info. Now I have to really go solo to WDW, especially at AK.

PS: nice pic of the castle, especially from that angle you can see clearly Wendy flying.

yup, I'm thinkin The Studios, Sunset Blvd.,in front of the Starring Rolls Cafe :yoda:

I guess I didn't hit the mark on either pic this week. The bus isn't a car and the temple isn't a building :confused3
Oh well, I liked that particular temple sitting off to the side by itself. I took several in the area but that pic was my fav. Simple & understated. I thought the egret gave it balance & having the mtn in the background would have been distracting. JMHO
