Phone wait times recently?

I have tickets from last year that expire in Sept. I am wanting to call the WDW number to get the value applied to new tickets, but I've been putting it off since a while back I read that people are waiting hours to get to a real person when they call. Has that situation improved any? It's been a month or two since I read those posts.

thanks!

Two hours when I called around 11a Est today. I should have known better. I find late night is better.

They open the phone lines at 7am sharp Eastern. May want to try for then. Took me over an hour calling in the evening one night last week

I waited 2hrs and 40 minutes yesterday calling dining. When I first called at 645a cst it said over 2 hours already. I called back at 8:30a cst and that's when I waited the 2h40m.
When I called to make a change to my resort reservation on Tuesday around noon I only waited 10 mins maybe.
Guess it depends what you are calling for.

It can change minute by minute as seen above. I'm not sure there's a real pattern. I have had success waiting a shorter time when calling close to the time their phone lines close. They will take all calls that were in the queue prior to closing.

I waited 2 hours to make our initial reservation for October two weeks ago and another 2 hours when I had to call back and push it back to December. Both calls were at around 7pm EST

It really does change minute to minute depending on what is happening at Disney, what is seen on the boards here, what announcements get traction, etc. In my rambling sampling of the past couple of days, it has been 2-3 hours. I sent an email instead.

I called at 8:00 a.m. central time (9:00 at wdw) this morning and my call was answered in less than 2 minutes!

I had the same scenario for calling ticketing services earlier this year (last year's ticket had a new expiration date of Sept 2021 that needed to be pushed back further). Wait times were significant... had to wait around 1 hour to reach the 1st person, then another 1.5 hour wait to wait in the ticketing queue.

Before you call though, you might see if you can adjust the ticket use date in the app. If it lets you push back the date, that would save you a ton of time. I'm not sure if the app will let you push it back further than the current expiration you see, but I've made similar adjustments for other tickets since then. You just pay a small ticket fee if the date you choose is pricier than the original amount you paid.

Mixed bag.

Had as many wait times that were too short vs. too long in the past week.

With so few options, as soon as an attraction 'breaks', lines in nearby attractions rise faster than the system acknowledges.

Only time the system seemed to work in guests favor was the final hour of the Park operating hours.
