WAS WONDERING IF YOU CAN USE A CELL PHONE ON THE SHIP (EASTERN TRIP)OR ON THE ISLANDS I CALLED MY CELL PHONE COMPANY(NEXTELL) THEY SAID THAT IT WOULD NOT WORK DOES ANYONE KNOW OF ANOTHER PHONE THAT MIGHT WORK

AT&T Wireless provides service at St Thomas.

It can be difficult to use U.S. cell phones in the Caribbean because there are so many different countries each with their own set of regulations. And the companies on the various islands tend to not have roaming agreements with U.S. companies because of the problems with cell phone fraud.
