A few weeks back I emailed a complaint to Member Services about my experience when trying to make ADRs 180 days out. The first cast member knew nothing about the 10 day system and told me I would have to call back 180 days out for each ADR. I disputed, he put me on hold for about 3 minutes, I hung up, called back again and waited on hold for another 5 minutes and then was sent to the survey without ever speaking with anyone. The third time, after another wait, I finally spoke to somebody who knew what was up, made by ADRs, and I was very happy with the service.
My email said that I didn't require a response, but I just wish they would train their cast members as this wasn't something new. I was surprised but I actually received 3 messages on my home phone to call to discuss my complaint. I was unable to call them from work and due to the time change, I was unable to call from home either. However, happy to say they tried to connect with me.

It is called 180+10.

For instance, if you have a room reservation, you can call to make dining reservations 180 days out from your first resort day, and book dining for up to 10 of the following days without having to call back each day at the 180 mark.

I never use it myself, I usually call about 5 months out, and get what I want, within 15 minutes of my desired time. But I do see the advantage if you want to book specific character meals or Cinderella's Royal Table. We don't usually do character meals. :)

180+10 is only available to onsite WDW guests, including DVC.

Chuck,

I have been wondering about this.

We are going for 14 nights, split across 3 reservations:

1 - 1 night studio w/DVC point
2 - 6 nights 2BR w/ DVC points
3 - 7 nights 2BR w/ II inbound exchange

Can I book 10 nights off of the first reservation? Can I then call the next day and book the 11th night, etc?

/Jim

As I said, I've never used 180+10, I don't know how it will work with split reservations.

Thanks anyway... Maybe I will find out... especially since my stay is over NYE... which is a good time to book early.

My trip in August is split into 4 chunks. When I called for the first 10 days I just told them I was checking in on August 1 and gave them the ressie #. They didn't ask me when I was leaving. My first ressie is 3 nights, the next chunk is 6 nights, then 7 nights (which has now been split again into 4 and 3). If the first CM you get won't cooperate hang up and call back because they all interpret the rules just a bit different!

Yes.

I just booked our November ADRs. I always call the 407 wdw-dine number and don't bother with MS. Things seem to go smoother.

I've had mixed success with applying the 180 + 10 to a split reservation. Twice it has been allowed and twice I've been told to call back. All times the reservations were "linked" in the system and I've gotten different answers from DVC MS and the regular WDWDINE line.

That's Disney's Carousel of Policy!

I was not allowed to make all my ADR's for my split stay this past April. I had called 180 days out and they told me I could only make ADR's for the first part of my reservation and I would need to call back for the other part. When they asked where I was staying I did tell them about the split stay. I am curious what would have happened had I not mentioned that!
