Hi again!

I really want to order a small two tiered cake for the two of us to enjoy after our dinner following the wedding. We have the chef's table at V&A's booked, and know that the cake is really not needed after the 3 dessert courses served, but I really want one, and want a top tier to have on our first anniversary. I have a number that the CM at V&A's gave me to order a cake, but after 3 messages, have not heard back from anyone. :confused3 Does anyone have a phone number to order a cake that they know works?

Does anyone have the presentation that was emailed to them that they can forward to me, so that I can start looking? Thanks!

Honestly, I don't know where I'm calling! I'm using the number they gave me, but am getting no where. Does anyone have the number to the bakery?

Also, would still love to see the presentation they email you!

Thanks!

If you Private Message me your email address i will try to email you the presentation later tonite when I'm at my home computer :)

Email sent, but I couldn't get the presentation to go through! It is a 15 MB file, so it is either because yahoo's email storage is too small, or because it is copyrighted somehow. Not sure!!!! Anyway, try the link I sent, that should be just as good!!

I just wanted to give a public thanks to Mary for emailing the information to me. I got the link to work, and now just have to get a hold of them, choose a style, and choose a flavor. Thanks!

Mary that cake site is amazing!!! I am past my 8 month mark now, but I have not recieved my planning kit yet. Do you know of a floral (bouquet) site like that, that would be so helpful. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

You're welcome :earsgirl: I'm not sure of a floral bouquet website quite like that. I think I saw someone recently post a good website, I will have to go thread diving and see if I can find it. In the meantime, I have a pdf file that the disney florist sent me with a few of their designs. Not extensive, but it gives you a good idea. Pm me your email address if you want it!

does anyone know with a custom disney wedding if you can use an outside cake vendor at your reception? we cant justify a $700 cake.

Please keep in mind that the cake presentation on the fairytale weddings web site is from many years ago, and many :cake: of the styles are no longer done.

If you call the Grand Floridian directly (407-824-1000) and ask for V&A reservations, they can help you plan your cake. Maybe think of miniature cakes for yourself and your DH. They are single serving cakes and very nice for a V&A dinner. No cake cutting required. The one tier mini castle cakes are very cute. They have a white chocolate castle on a single tier cake. The single tier measures 3" in diameter and is good for about 5 bites.

This is what I'm beginning to realize after I found out that the cake I wanted would cost $900, and served 75 people!!!!! When I finally get a hold of someone, then I will ask if they can do that style any smaller, or even in a mini cake. The only problem with the mini cake that I see is not having the top tier for the first anniversary...what do the people who do mini cakes do for that...order an extra cake to keep? I haven't seen the mini castle cakes...do you have a picture? Thanks!

I will try to post the mini castle cake pic in a few days. 2 tier mini cakes(not the castle mini's) made at the Grand are chef's choice on design, and always buttercream icing. No fondant. All mini cakes are $25.00

Option 2 would be to order a 2 tier cake with your choice of decorations from the wedding department selection. Be prepared to spend the per person price with a minimum of 30 servings. Example, if your chosen design is $10.50 per person, cake size minimum is 30=$335.00

Your take home option would be to order a 6" "cake topper". Keep in mind that there would be no decoration on this, as any decoration would surely become damaged after a long trip home and a year in any freezer, no matter how careful you are. The majority of the damage comes in the thawing process. Also any frozen cake should not have fresh fruit inside (ie raspberries, strawberries), they do not hold up well in the freezer.

If you go to WDW on an annual basis, just order yourself a new cake on your 1 year anniversary. Fresh cake, and no transport or storage issues. Sounds good doesn't it?
