Phone Malfunctioning After Indy Ride Issues?

Has anyone else experienced their phone resetting on Indiana Jones? We were there last week and my phone reset while we were on Indiana Jones. After getting off the ride, I tried to open my Iphone to grab another MaxPass and it said it was finished updating (when it didn't need to). Then after it said unrecognizable/incompatible SIM. I got outside, panicking, thinking my phone was dead at the beginning of our trip. Fortunately, after turning off for about a minute then back on the problem was solved.

A couple days later, we ride Indiana Jones and it does the exact same thing. Hadn't done anything like this before, the days in between the incidents, or after. The only common thread is Indy with both times going on it doing the exact same thing. What would make a phone do this? An electromagnetic field, maybe? Very strange whatever it was!

Never had a report of that. Which means it’s your phone, not the ride that’s the issue. Like PP said, something must be getting jarred lose.

Our phones always lose signal in Indiana Jones and often refuse to reacquire it when we emerge. Sometimes going into and out of airport mode is enough to correct the problem. Rarely a full reboot is needed. So if it's not a loose sim card for you as others suggested, then maybe your phone has a little bit of trouble trying to reattach to the network when disconnected suddenly. Stop trying to use your iPhone until you are all the way out of the ride and back in Adventureland. It probably hasn't reattached to the cell tower yet and you trying to get it to connect to the internet that isn't there is confusing it.

I know I read somewhere else where another DIS member had their phone actually fried on Tower or Terror awhile back (can't remember where I read it, though), so I'm still not convinced it's simply my phone with the issue. It hasn't done it since even taking it on runs outside, so who knows.

Most of Disney's show buildings are built to block cell signals. Not a jammer, as that would be illegal but you will notice you loose signal inside most attractions. Do not want cell phones going off and being a distraction.

Some phones wig out searching for signal and just need to be reset.
