Phone call from Disney CM

I had an hour conversation with a CM this evening after I Emailed about my my inability to book ADRs 180+10. She was very chatty and nice. The most interesting information that I got from her was that soon visitors would be able to use their phone to book the 4th Fastpass instead of using the kiosk. I hope she know what she knows what she is talking about!
 
I hope it's true too and I hope by "soon" she meant before my trip in August. :thumbsup2 The ability to book 4th FP via phone would be icing on the cake for me for our trip!
 
This would be great, I am leaving in 3 weeks, please hurry up and get this going.:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Everything I have been hearing is that there is a major App/MDE upgrade coming in July that should be providing this service as well as many others. Time will tell!
 

What was your issue with 180 + 10? I couldn't do it online and had to call to do mine. Did they do anything or tell you anything?
 
My ADR opened on May 18. I was unable to do the 180+10 at 6am. I was able to make ressies at 7am over the phone but,by that time, many of the times I waged were taken. I wrote an email to Disney expressing my displeasure and they wrote back saying that it was my issue and THEY were able to make the ADR with the 10+. I was livid and wrote that I had tried everything to make it work and nothing did. I was on the phone with the CM for an hour tonight. While she was very nice she offered nothing in compensation. I was never looking for something but it would have been nice given that a perk they touted for onsite guests did not work as they said it would.

Clearly it was not "your" issue, seeing many of us had the exact problem! Frustrating.
 
Just spitballing here, but I'm not sure I like the idea of being able to book the 4th+ fastpass on the phone app. Yes it would be more convenient, but it would be more for everybody. So I wonder if it would make additional FPs harder to get. Just a thought

That may be true for the headliners. But I would gladly trade that for the ability to make reservations on my phone. I'd love to get a snack and sit down on my phone to see what's available. If they don't do this then they needed add more kiosks and different locations.
 
Disney would probably be able to cut the staffing for all the FP+ kiosks in half by doing this.
 
Thanks for sharing that tidbit with us! I'm hoping it's in place for our 8/5 trip too.

However, I'm sorry that you got the news in the way you did. I'm glad they escalated it up to get you personal attention and you were heard.
 
That is wonderful news! It'll free up the kiosks for those who don't have smart phones and make it easier for me to book another FP from my iPhone. Thanks for sharing the news! :love:
 
I got a call last Sunday at 7 at night. Do they really not know that the app isn't working? They seems surprised. I haven't been able to use the app on my phone in over a week. For this big of a company they have massive issues with their technology.
