Phone booth in Epcot...

Oh, i forgot about this! Glad I ran into this thread again. It rang once when we were there, but DS said they were speaking Spanish so he didn't know what they wanted lol. I thought he was making it up Can't wait to do this when we go this fall!

I got to answer!! I am so sorry to the family in Louisiana who called today around noon or so, since I can't remember mom's username. But, we were taking the obligatory photos of my girls "talking" on the phone, when the right-hand one rang!! My girls freaked out and wouldn't answer it. Then the left one rang! I answered it, and a darling little girl asked if I'd seen Mickey today. I told her "No, but I've just seen Daisy Duck". We had a nice little conversation and I asked if her mom went on the DIS boards. I spoke to mom, but completely forgot her user name. They are coming down in March. I'm so glad they called, and so happy to have been able to answer! I felt so happy to be a part of it!

Does anybody have the number for the one over across the street, between the R & C and the fish & chips stand? I don't know if that one actually works, since it's rigged to be part of the KimPossible mission.

Just talked to some people-they didn't believe that someone was actually calling the phone lol!! Then the one guy started talking like Mickey-that was cool

Got to talk to a woman a little while ago...she was stunned that the phones were real working phones. It's hot and humid there today per her report and I said I hoped it would stay warm for our trip on Monday...that we had 5 inches of snow & lovely ice underneath here in the Buckeye State. Wished her a lovely remainder of her vacation...

Okay, I had to call the phone lines - I was positively giddy about the prospect of talking to strangers at Epcot.

The left phone booth rang about 5 times before giving me the fax machine noise.

Center phone yielded results! Spoke to a chick on vacation from Tampa. Asked her if Mickey was around and she said no, but offered to take a message!

I will be calling Epcot every time I get lonely !

Oh My Gosh! I actually got through for the first time! I have called numerous times and always got the fax sound or a busy signal or it just rang and rang.

But a little girl picked up and was just very chatty with me! She said she was posing for a picture when the phone rang. She told me all about what her family had done that day, that they stayed at AKL and are leaving tomorrow. After 5 minutes or so I heard her Mom say "OK Honey, other people want to talk now". I'll bet she had no idea someone was really calling!

Oh that made my night!

Just talked to someone a lady from puerto rico. she was super nice said Mickey went home but had super man standing next to her. I was excited someone answered. called the center/middle booth. made my day as we leave in 9 days and restlessness is settling in.

Darn it all! This past Saturday I was coming out of the ladies room and heard the phone by the red phone booth ringing (it was the phone in between the 2 booths). I went to answer it but it stopped before I could pick it up. I waited for someone to call back but they never did.

I just talked to someone on their anniversary and she said the food was good and the weather was beautiful and the beer was great! This is absolutely awesome!

I often call and ask if Mary Poppins is around. Once a little girl answered and I said I was Mary Poppins, and had she seen Jane and Michael. She was so hooked! She finally said, "Mom, it's Mary Poppins!" Mom got on and had a good laugh when I explained I was looking for the kids and had she maybe seen Bert. I've even asked for Harry and Ron once and was told they were playing Quidditch!
