Phone booth in Epcot...

I've tried a few time this evening and not having any joy... getting the fax sound from all three numbers! :confused3

It's come full circle for me. Two years ago when we were at Epcot, the phone rang and when we answered we talked to a gentleman who said he was from Africa. Not sure he was but that's what he told us. At that point we didn't know the phones worked. When we came home I researched the phones on DIS and found the information about the phones. In June of this year, our family went to Hawaii and at one point the kids started to say how they missed Disney! We called the center phone and a man answered. He was from Japan. We had a nice chat. It was great. Still can't believe the kids missed Disney when we were in Hawaii.

One rang when we were there, but when I answered, the person said hello, then hung up.

This is so awesome--can't wait to prank my sister when we are down in little over a week!! I love the disboards!!

P.S. I just called all three but no one answered!!

Friends of ours were in Disney World last week. When they were at EPCOT we arranged to call them. We called the phone on the left and talked to them. Almost as good as being there. Not really!

DD was playing over there on our trip Aug 19th-26th...we got a call from Jennifer in Cali...if your on here Jennifer from Cali thanks! My daughter really thought that was neat!

I tried the middle phone booth number today.
A male answered and I asked if he was at Epcot. He said "yes".
And then......... he hung up on me before I could even say have a "Magical Day" : (

Darn............

Guess he wasn't feeling too "Happy" or maybe he was "Bashful"

Perhaps Grumpy?

Absolutely "Grumpy"..........you are soooo right.

I've always wondered why "Grumpy" people even bothered to go to Disney.

I took the numbers with me on our trip back in January, when my kids, niece and nephews were playing in the phone booths, I called and pretended to be the Queen of England wanting some fish and chips. Hilarious!!!! By the 3rd phone call, they had figured me out, probably because I was laughing so hard. Funny stuff!!!!! :rotfl2:

I think I'll just save the #'s til our next visit and call my travel mates when they are posing for pics at the phones.

Sounds like fun !

hahaha I wanna do this to my kids! I have the WORST english accent impression so I'm sure they'd catch me fast but it sounds like fun!

If the phone ever rings and you pick it up and hear a girl with a funny British accent say: "Today in the UK pavillion, we are serving Spam, egg, Spam, Spam, bacon and Spam", it will be my daughter. She thinks this is hilarious and often gets people to play along. "I don't like spam!" is the best response.

I have saved the numbers in my phone and want to call and try them out. Thing is.. I am nervous and have no idea what to say.

I saved the numbers in my phone :) I'm going to call DD and pretend to be Cinderella right before we go for our princess lunch for her birthday :)
