PHM 2015-In Pursuit of Cupcakes While Running in Glass Slippers

I am being a pirate wench... and that's because I will be scantily clothed (sorry to ALL ToT runners) due to heat & humidity! :) I'll put a cross bone tat on my stomach fat & wear a halter top!

Then hubby won't claim me either. Hahahahaha!!! :lmao:

Oh my Nicole...:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Hey did you see that link I posted back to Susan on how to make a pirate wrench running top?

Okay now I am sure everyone is dying to see the guy that I saw...and Betsy found a picture on marathon photo to remind me. http://s127.photobucket.com/user/mo...c-4454-9181-c193dbd60a09_zpsbed46371.png.html ICK ICK ICK ICK...I believe that he was supposed to be Chabaaca from Star Wars. I wish I could find a picture of his girlfriend, whom I heard he proposed to during the race, she was Princess Lela in a very tiny white bikini. :scared1::scared1:

OMG that picture made my day. Lmao!

OMG that picture made my day. Lmao!

:rotfl2:I need to search through marathon photos for his girlfriend. I never saw her but heard about her. He was the first person I saw when I exited into DHS after the race. :scared1: Could you imagine wearing that to run in...let alone be seen in public in? That guy has a lot of ____________!

ECBLOVESMICKEY

Welcome! I am sure the more the merrier:goodvibes Hopefully you do it again! Don't let others keep you from having a bad experience be your last! You should have a GREAT experience be your last!

Heather is completely right, don't let others hold you back. I learned that lesson during ToT training and trip. You will be amazed how stronger you become when you push through. Besides, you are making lots of new cupcake friends here that will support you and encourage you! Plus quite a few of them are running ToT!

hello--joining in! maybe between you, tinker326 and imbri, i'll find the motivation to sign up for another half marathon.....nah! :rotfl: but I am here and will be catching up on your PTR! :wave2:

Come join us in the insanity of another Run Disney Event! Only for a trip to WDW and some cupcakes would I even consider running GSC and maybe 5K1 :rotfl2:

BTW...glad you are going in on the craziness...this PTR has really exploded the last few days. Which is fun...the more craziness the better! It makes the time go by so much faster!

Thanks. I read a meme somewhere that said "girls compete with each other, women empower each other". That's the truth and unfortunately not what happened in my trip. So from now on I plan to run with women who act like women and not girls :)

I so understand this...I like women much better hence why I hate the idea of ever calling myself a Disney Princess again (much like you I learned the hard way about the difference between girl and woman...princess and queen)...I much prefer to be a Disney Queen and build my fellow ladies up and celebrate life (and runs) with cupcakes, its so much better that way.

That is the reason for this PTR...celebrating the women we are and why we welcome anyone who holds the same feelings about building each other up. I am too old to have to compete with who is faster, who got the better time, what place am I, who trained more, who trained better, who knows more about Disney...

I find this to be so true. When my tween daughter comes home with girl drama I tell her- let's find a way to work around it..because it doesn't go away! Even when you are an adult!

It's present with school moms, Scout moms, women at work.. .everywhere.. always drama, drama, drama..... gossip & manipulation....

It's frustrating and I just try to avoid those people if I can. Better to be surrounded by those who support & encourage... and share cupcakes with you! :lovestruc

Right, who says you have to be a runner- don't you remember from my TR- my cousin walked Wine & Dine!!! JOIN THE MADNESS!!!! Plus there are cupcakes, alcohol & shopping.. so, ya know?!?! :rotfl:

Well I am tentatively onboard. My DVC booking window opens next week so I may make a reservation for the weekend. :)

I have really enjoyed the races, I believe it has been the company I keep that has been less than stellar. Maybe it's just too much togetherness! Lol

My cousin kept them company at the Wine & Dine. They are very nice people she said. They kept telling her when she should probably run a little to get ahead of them to avoid the sweep. :)

I figured they were nice, I might Dr having to keep up with them if my doctor has her way!

Tammie sent me that picture! :) Cracks me up. I thought he was some weird YETI. I didn't think he was Tarzan. Now I do see it though!!!

A Yeti makes sense too! I was thinking princess so maybe Tarzan...

I don't know much about Starwars, but I thought that she had a human for a guy? I can see Chewbacca though too! I can't imagine being that comfortable with myself, no matter how skinny I was! To run in just a bikini!

HEATHER

Mulan is a Disney princess. I thought she was, but I 2nd guessed myself and decided to look it up!

http://disney.wikia.com/wiki/Disney_Princess

I wasn't second guessing, just didn't know that she was a princess! I thought that her dad was just the old general of the army.. Oh, so she might be out! I have to see! I am still looking and talking about it with my sister :) the only thing we get along on is Disney:goodvibes

I would love to do a princess breakfast after we go back and shower...trust me you will be on a adrenaline high after the race. And if my body treats me like it did after the ToT the last thing I want to do is stop and go to bed. Once I stop my body is in pain! So I am thinking a nice cold shower and dip in a hot tub...and head out to breakfast or brunch.

That sounds good!
I wish I would have lost weight during my pregnancy! Ugh, you don't want to know how much I gained. Spring break and this bum ankle are good for the progress I was making. I so like my daily schedule being busy...

No you don't! I only kept losing because I was so sick! i never want to be in that boat again! With Damien I gained so so much weight! WEIGH (get it?) too much!

I am going to try the flask idea in my side pocket of my sparkle skirt! Maybe a clear one...lol. That should be just enough water for a long run for me.

:rotfl2:Oh my, good luck! Hey, if it works though! Maybe be great for during the races as well between water stations!

I thought about the witch?/mother? from Rapunzal but I REALLY AM NOT EVIL...although I still wish I would have thought about being Ursula for ToT. EVIL, CRAZY, LIAR...hmmmm LOL...I am none of them.

Not the witch mother... silly goose I wasn't calling you that! HER mom.. the Queen! She isn't mentioned or seen much, but she is there! i would never suggest anyone to be an evil person! This lady:

TRAVEL AGENT-I sent you her contact information on FB. She is a really sweet girl! Yes, she will book everything including ADRs and tours for you. But I like the thrill of getting up at 5 am and booking the ADRS myself. She will plan everything for you, if you want her too. All I have her do is manage my room reservation package...I tell her my dates, wants for resort, tickets, and meal plan options...then she books what I want and watches for offers. I pay her every month and that is applied to my reservation. She will also do room requests, too. Then she compiles all my paperwork and sends me the final documents well in advance of the trip along with a special thank you gift!

yes, thank you! Going to fill out that Quote form after dinner is done and dishes are finished while K is at training!

Thanks. I read a meme somewhere that said "girls compete with each other, women empower each other". That's the truth and unfortunately not what happened in my trip. So from now on I plan to run with women who act like women and not girls :)

I love that quote! I will have to remember it when my baby girl is getting into that!

I agree! I don't have time to compete! I do have time however to enjoy and just be able to talk and have a good time:) Life really is too short and Disney is supposed to be the happiest place on Earth!

I find this to be so true. When my tween daughter comes home with girl drama I tell her- let's find a way to work around it..because it doesn't go away! Even when you are an adult!

The ladies at the PTO at my son's school just don't care... they talk about each other behind backs and get quiet when the one they are talking about walks into the room, it is so petty to live like that! And what gets me is that at the next birthday party they are there hugging and cheek kissing the women the don't like! :confused3 Drives me crazy and I can't keep up! I am sure I am the talk of the town not volunteering or anything lately :rolleyes2

It's frustrating and I just try to avoid those people if I can. Better to be surrounded by those who support & encourage... and share cupcakes with you! :lovestruc

:thumbsup2Speaking of cupcakes Tammie... what happened? I thought I'd be in a pool of drool daily with cupcakes! or did you say once a week? I don't know, I hear cupcake and the conversation stops there :hyper: that's me waiting! (I love these guys, can you tell?)

Right, who says you have to be a runner- don't you remember from my TR- my cousin walked Wine & Dine!!! JOIN THE MADNESS!!!! Plus there are cupcakes, alcohol & shopping.. so, ya know?!?! :rotfl:

shopping? Let's not mention that to Dh until AFTER we hit Walt Disney Welcome sign:drive:, then it's too late to turn around and head back!

Well I am tentatively onboard. My DVC booking window opens next week so I may make a reservation for the weekend. :)

I have really enjoyed the races, I believe it has been the company I keep that has been less than stellar. Maybe it's just too much togetherness! Lol

i hope that you do! You don't have to spend all of the time as a group, just go with whoever has plans that favor you or go alone... whatever would make you happy... again we are planning to run at the happiest place on Earth :cool1:

You all are making me debate on the Princess Half.

I should get through my first 10 Miler though.

Apparently a lot of ladies are debating and joining in...LOL! That is so cool! And if I can get through 10 miles anyone can get through 10 miles! Trust me...I was not a person whoever imagined being able to go 10 miles...13.1 doesn't scare me at all...as long as I don't end up injured again right before...

I love that Dory!!! So excited for the new movie about her coming out!

You should debate it :hyper: And then decide to run/walk with us:banana:!!!!

In case you haven't seen this info pop up today on the Run Disney website, there is a change regarding packet pick ups starting with DL 1/2 weekend & has been updated for ToT, W&D & Avengers. We should expect this to be the norm for 2015 races also.

YOU MUST PICK UP YOUR OWN PARTICIPANT PACKET (WHICH INCLUDES YOUR EVENT-ISSUED BIB NUMBER AND TIMING DEVICE) DURING REGULARLY SCHEDULED HOURS. Individuals will no longer be able to pick up participant packets on behalf of others.

Looks like RD is really trying to crack down on bib selling. Just wanted to put this out there so we can all make appropriate travel arrangements & not rely on anyone being able to pick up packets for us.

OK, back to our regularly scheduled PTR :thumbsup2

Wow, I hadn't seen this yet. Run Disney really is cracking the whip.

I saw that get posted on the ToT Facebook group. I'm glad they are cracking down.
