Yum, yum, yum! I cannot fathom how you are going to fit in a CUPCAKE CRAWL in between all these ADR's though!![]()
Oh I'm sorry, did you not want me to post a whole photo album of shots?Shouldn't have asked me about AK then!

It's funny you wrote about ADRs. Just yesterday I sat down to make a plan for my family!
I don't think we'll have too many ADRs. I asked the boys to pick one each and (much to DHs dismay) they both picked Chef Mickeys. Hoping to do breakfast there.
I love breakfast there...
I'd like to do Ohana on Saturday evening but not sure if my parents want to do it.
I'm planning on Trail's end BF and hopefully we can get there on Sat after the kids races.
Thinking about Sci-fi for lunch.
Crystal Palace is my favorite breakfast so I might just book that because I'm the planner so I get to choose!
DH might want Via Napoli or maybe the new restaurant on the BW that's opening. He also loves Paradiso 37 but I'm afraid of going to DTD. It's just such a mess! We'll see where it is in 6 months.
Other than that I think we might just be good with counter service. We will also have a car so we may venture off site.
I love the Safari and spend most of my time at AK doing animal stuff with the kids. I have never been on EE but may try it in October. Has anyone done the AK tour above the animals? Thinking of doing that too.
My favorite AK attractions are the safari and expedition everest
I had mentioned before that I had a 7-mile race this weekend- of course, the way my luck goes, two days before the race I did something stupid at work and messed up my hip and hamstring (a recurring problem that I aggravated). I still ran the race and finished it but it was a tough seven miles and I was way slower than normal! I spent the last two months training for it so it was a little disappointing, but I'm trying to focus on the fact that I managed to finish and fought through the pain! After the race I decided to skip the brownie sundae that I initially planned on and had an amazing lemon cupcake (I would share a photo, but I ate it too fast...)
Now I start training for my first half marathon, which is in October. Picking up a new pair of running shoes this week because my asics are close to the 500 mile mark! Have a great wednesday, everyone!![]()
You have some great choices...have they announced anything about the new place at the BW...theming, food, opening?
We are going to give DTD a try...just keep watching construction updates and posts.
No fun being injured during a race...I applaud you for still getting out there and finishing. YAY for the lemon cupcake...another lemon girl! We have too many lemon haters in this group!!!!New shoes...oh how I love them but not so much the price tag.
Motivation Monday
"Remember, the feeling you get from a good run (or just a run) is far better
than the feeling you get from not getting out there and doing it!"
Isn't that the truth...I dread sometimes the thought of the distance I have to cover for a certain day, but once I get started all of that dread is washed away and I am left with a total sense of accomplishement. If anyone needs motivation right now it is me....I have not run in over 4 weeks. I had packed everything to run while we were in Europe, but I after all the walking we were doing I just did not have the energy to get out there and run in the morning, plus the fact that it would give my nagging shins ample time to rest. I regret not doing it now, because it would have been so much fun to share these runs with you. Last week it was dealing with jet lag and playing catch up at work. Today, I am going to sit down and make a run calendar for the next few months and maybe that will get me back in the run mode....
I need to update with my Zombie Run and my newest shoe fitting....and upcoming races (one that involves a DISmeet)!
Coming up on 7 weeks since I ran last. My knee is finally feeling better after that 25K, so I am going to try & add miles back in slowly next week. Not sure what my 10K in Oct will look like.Worst case scenario I will submit my crappy half marathon time I suppose.
Favorite AKL attractions, EE, Kilamanjaro Safari.
I will be up bright & early making all of the ADRs we talked about over the last few weeks.

Good luck with the ADR's this morning Debra!! I'm already drooling at the thought of that Via Napoli pizza.![]()

I have a 5k tomorrow that I am not prepared for! I will be running with my mom, so taking it easy, but I haven't run in 4 weeks and I have only been sporadically working out. Ugh, I don't even feel like going, but they do serve a tasty lunch after! ha!
Lunch sounds like a nice reward and spending time with your mom. I need to do a couple of 5Ks...they seem to get me motivated, although I have such a hard time finding one that meets my requirements. I have been considering doing a couple of virtual ones, but I just dont think they would offer the same amped up feeling before a race!
Have fun this weekend cupcakes!! I will be making ADRs on Sunday morning.
Wahoo...I can't believe it is 6 months!
Only 1.5 weeks til my kids go back to school! Seems like summer just started.
Morning ladies-
Comment on the cupcakes. I am in love with them both.Tammie you were right on when mentioned that these would work well for us! Yummo!! I will give up last weeks PB/Choco one for these two.
I am with many of you that I have fallen COMPLETELY off the running track and now that summers over ( I hate summer running) I AM going to get back in the game. I have a bunch of fall races I signed up for!
Things are crazy busy here as well with crazy work deadlines & Girl Scouts starting back up. I now lead THREE troops. Why do I do this to myself?School... activities... all that..keeping things hopping.
The good news for me, at least, is I work WAY better and am WAY more productive with everything when I'm highly scheduled & busy. Summer - I just get lazy. So hopefully that pushes me back into better planning mode (I have been such a poor Tweedle counterpart lately) and running!
So here's to the fall. I am sad summer is winding down, but time to get my rear back in gear!
