PHL-TPA just returned

At each airport by the time we got to the baggage claim (after a brief bathroom break), our luggage was on the belt within 5 minutes.

In TPA it seemed that everybody wanted to see ID. No problem with that at tall. Security at both airports was a breeze. We were through in under 5 minutes.

The hour and 15 minute drive from TPA to BWV was not bad at all.

We will be flying PHL-MCO on Sept. 28 and was worried about long security lines. I normally don't mind the lines at all but this time my kids need an early dismissal from school since our flight is at 2:30pm. I was hoping to pick them up at noon. (Big surprise since they think they will be leaving school to get a flu shot! )
Do you think that will be enough time? We're in Cherry Hill and usually do curbside baggage check, then on to economy parking lot. I can't wait!

Thanks for the head's up NJDad ! I just booked SW Philly to TPA and return for an Oct trip to WDW ! Glad to hear there's no real delays. We flown out of this airport before and for the $39 DING each way I got, I could not turn it down for another trip to WDW !!!

I'm so glad to see someone else post that ETA. That is what my DH and I always made it in coming from TPA, but I read from others it takes between 90 minutes to 2 hours. I thought my DH was breaking the sound barrier.

We've gone the TPA route several times now.......only once did it take 2 hours and that was just a couple weeks ago but that was due to a horrific accident on I-4 and we sat for like an hour in traffic. Sadly, I read that a child died in that one. It was on 8/5. But normally it's about 1 hr 15 min for us..........unless it's rush hour.
