We are leaving next week from PHL and never have had to park, we either did rapid rover or had friends take us. We are leaving super early during the week and coming home mid day so no friends are able to take us. Rapid rover is going to cost over $100 so we thought parking would be cheaper. Anyone have any recomendations of where?

www.expresspark.net

we have been using them for yrs now and had no problems. Just go to web site and get coupon $6.75 a day. We aways use the SOUTH LOT because it's the new one. They also have a north lot and smart park.
When you pull in a van will show you to a parking spot, they take you and your bags onto the van and right to your airline. When you get back you just call and they come and get you and go right back to your car. We just used them again last week.
You can also book on line and pay for one day to secure a spot incase they are crowded. :thumbsup2

I second Express Park, we used them the last 2 times we flew and they were good. (south lot, I think) the van picks you up and drops off right at your parking spot so it's pretty curb-to-curb. I believe with that coupon code its about the cheapest place to park too.

the other place we used is Winner Airport parking. little more expensive but it's a valet service so they drive you to the airport in your own car if you have room for the driver and, if you pay a little extra, you can leave straight from the airport. there's usually a coupon code at longtermparking.com or something like that. depends on how long you're going to be gone whether it makes sense to use the valet or Express Park. (or use a car service instead for that matter) we used Winner at least twice and my parents and in-laws used at least once and all positive reviews :)

ETA: also remember there's an 18% parking tax in philly, so add that to whatever rate you find unless they state the rate includes taxes and fees. so the express park coupon is 6.75 + the 18% tax for a total of $7.97 per day.

We like PreFlight. Once you pull in you tell them inside (garage) or outside. We've only done outside but would use garage if it were winter. They direct us to a section and by the time we get our luggage out, their shuttle is their. The drivers are great with putting our bags on bus. Unlike some valet places, I like that I can lock my car and take my keys. They are reasonably priced and their shuttles run very often so no need to call when you get your luggage. Going home they drop us off at our car. They also have a frequent parker program. It works out that every $55 you spend gets you 1 free day of outside parking for future use. You save points and redeem many days at once or use one free day per trip but at some point those points do expire so I try to use one every chance I get. They have coupons in those Valpak coupon things that come in the mail or also at their website.

During the summer we got a Groupon offer for Central Air Park. It was a great deal. $23 or so for 7 nts of parking so I bought 3. We have 1 left and will be glad to return to Preflight. The 1st time they obviously were not prepared for the volume generated by the groupon. The line to pay/exit was like 20 cars long. Last time there was no line but we did wait a long while for the shuttle after calling. While waiting we saw 2 Preflight shuttles go by. :( The driver barely lifts a finger to help with bags. Maybe he's used to being stiffed for a tip but we are used to great service with PreFlight and always tip our drivers.

Thanks! We had friends recommend Winner but it worked out to be $106 but the link you suggested had a great coupon! Thanks!

We have friends that use Winner every time and LOVE them. When we tried them (twice) our driver was speeding while driving my car & zoomed through the congested terminal area. :scared1:

I do like that they bring my car to me and that part was so easy but I couldn't take the initial stress. I also don't like knowing they have my address (on our car's registration) and know we're not home. They ask for our return date. :scratchin

How about you take my family to the airport so I don't have to pay?! Haha! J/K!

My husband's car is falling apart and looks awful so based on our car, they probably wouldn't want to rob our house lol! But that's a great point. Hmmmm

Sure! Come on over! :rotfl2:

I have coworkers that live in S.Philly and it's so easy for them to find someone to drop them off. Makes me a bit jealous til I hear about their parking woes. :headache:

other people could have your address and know your not home - mail stop, paper stop, neighbors, facebook update... fact of life. i think winner may ask for your address if you're doing the leave from the airport service in order to run the credit card without a swipe, but if you don't do that they shouldn't need your addy and just take the registration out of the car. same can happen in any of the parking lots either at airport or offsite, just has to break into the car, grab the registration and off to your house. (obviously don't leave the car key ring that has all the house keys on it - just as you wouldn't do that at any other valet or car dealership, right?)

if they were really intent they can get your addy from the plate number or VIN. but honestly, they wouldn't still be in business if they hired the type of folks that would rip off customers. i'm pretty sure there are some independent review sites you could check out for them and see if anyone had any troubles with thefts either on the lot or at their house.

i'm pretty paranoid about that type of stuff too but i got over it. that's what homeowners insurance is for. but to each their own and something to think about.

I could never live in the city! I guess when you are born and raised its life but just going over for the day for my son's dr takes me hours to recover lol! Plus the whole mess with snow and parking spaces! Yikes!

Excellent points! Winner really does sound the easiest way to go.

both times we used the leave from the airport option, so the return date made sense. they have to schedule drivers and especially with the airport service there has to be two drivers available (one to take the other back to the lot, which is what you're paying for). they could also fill the lots in a certain order for efficiency so that people expected back on x date are in a similar section to make it faster for the drivers. so not necessarily nefarious... i'm not knocking, i think the same way, but just trying to offer up some legit (and most likely) reasons for them asking for that info.

i was concerned about someone else driving my car, but we must have got good guys cuz i felt just fine letting them have the car based on how they got us to the airport. not any worse than my driving ;) same with my folks, i thought for sure they wouldn't do it as dad doesn't even like ME or Mom driving his cars let alone friends or strangers (normally avoid valet parking at all costs) but was ok with the service. go figure :confused3

No, I don't leave house keys. I just don't know who exactly has access to my car while I'm gone. We have a mail slot and my retired neighbors routinely cat sit for us. We have exchanged house keys 24/7 so I don't suspect them swiping our stuff. I don't believe in announcing it on FB either.
Sure, the odds are not high that something would go wrong but the ease of valet parking for vacation is not worth raising the odds any higher than they have to be. jmho. Do what works for you. :goodvibes

We used Winner our last trip and they were fantastic. No complaints whatsoever :thumbsup2 I especially liked that the driver just hopped in our car and took us to the airport. We had a 6am flight in December (brrr!!!) so not having to move sleepy, cold kids and our luggage into a shuttle was worth every penny. :)

We also paid the extra fee to have the driver pick us up in our car when returning. Loved that we just hopped in and went home right from the airport! :drive:

I like Winner Ford and always pay the extra to leave right from the airport. The one time I used one of the competitors (park in their lot and take a shuttle back and forth), getting to the airport was no problem, but we had to wait 45 minutes leaving the airport to even get a shuttle. Every shuttle that stopped was packed and didn't have no room for four more people and their luggage. Winner is easier for us.

We use Winner all the time. Especially with kids/carseats, it is so nice to stay in your own car until the last possible second and not have to worry about shuttles. We always do curbside as well....so worth paying the tip when you have kids, carseats, etc. I LOVE LOVE LOVE leaving straight from the airport!

Now that we have 5 people (2 in car seats and 3 adults) Winner is more difficult because we don't have room for the extra driver. So we have to run through the terminal first and drop off a few people then park the car. We planned on using Winner this last trip still since the leaving from airport option would still be a huge convenience for us...however we were running late (crazy blue route traffic!) so my husband just ran the car over to economy. It wasn't too bad, on the return he just ran and got the car (he took the carseat with him and installed in the parking lot) and then circled back into the terminal to pick up the rest of us and the luggage.

Add me to the Winner list. I found them after hearing about them on Disboards back when I was planning for our 09' trip. It was so nice to hope back into our own car at the end of a long day of travel. I've used them 2x since that first trip and recommend them all of the time.

I use The Spot Airport Parking Its right off of 95. Very easy to get to. It's $6.95 a day with a coupon from the internet. We have always liked them and never had a problem.

Another happy Winner customer here. I let other people (think garage attendants, valets, etc) drive my car all the time, so that doesn't bother me at all. I'm all about a service and having them pick me up at baggage claim when I get home is about as close as I'll get to having a private chauffeur waiting for me at the airport.
