OK, Karma caught up with me. Budget rental car had no cars - so I'm sitting here at MCO waiting for a car. They can take the reservation, but they can't hold the reservation... It's the holding the reservation that's the most important part.

That sucks. Hope you get out of there soon!

Well that hardly makes sense...why even bother making a reservation then?? A**WIPES.

Dave - I agree, that SUCKS:headache: !! What are they telling you the reason is they don't quite have a carpopcorn::? Not feeling the Budget love right now but it may well just be the karma:hippie: catching up with you. Don't mess with Jodi, my friend:laughing: !!

Jodi - Safe travels to you and Spencer:hug: . Have a blast:thumbsup2

Cindy - Thanks for your kind words:hug: I am actually seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and feel like I'm "home" tonight so all's good:cloud9: . Now if I could just figure out how I'm going to work some running into this new life I'll be all set:rolleyes1 .

Lou
- Glad it's just minor soreness you're feeling:) . Hope the first training run is a good one for you:thumbsup2

No running to report;) I'm hoping for Thursday morningpopcorn::

Colleen – I’m glad to hear that you are a definite for Philly. You never mentioned which return flight you picked. Are you heading back on Monday or pulling a Jodi?

Hey Cindy, I am flying out 7:30 p.m. Sunday night, so I should have time to meet you all for drinks and food somewhere after the marathon!:thumbsup2

By the way, I saw Cam's pictures from PDR, they were great and you look normal! :rotfl: Small for normal! You, Jodi and Sara are all so tiny! When we get to Philly, I am going to look like Otrere, Queen of the Amazons compared to you three!

Dave, no car?!? Hope you get to WDW before long. LIke Sara said, you can't mess with Jodi!

I am extremely jealous of all you Yeti racers this weekend. Disney Visa has a free dining promotion over THanksgiving and Christmas. It comes with a discounted room too! I am so tempted.....

Hi Sara, sending you good vibes girl! I hope you get that run in Thursday.

Where the heck is MIke?

Dave~ I hope your car woes are a thing of the past. I like the Seinfeldism there. It didn't go un-noticed here. :lmao:

Sara~ Enjoy your new home in good health. Get the runs in when you can.

Jodi~ I am over my soreness for sure. My dance lessons tonight were pain/twinge free and I will be running tomorrow after work, my first run since the Half PR in Philly. Have a safe trip and a wonderful time!

Lou~ Nicole looks like she'd be a great dance partner. You should get out there once your knee heals up. ;) Don't rush it though... it may take time. :lmao: :thumbsup2

To everyone I've missed HI!

:grouphug:

Howard

Cindy -- It was wonderful to meet you and Matt. As for races this fall, I'd said none until the Disney Half but am now considering the San Antonio RnR 1/2. Whether I do that or not, I will still just scream team at MCM. I am looking forward to hanging out with Krista (aladdinsgirl) there while she cheers on her husband (skfulkers). :yay:

Lou -- most of the course for the Delaware Distance Classic is on myfavorite course to run -- pretty "fast and flat". I hope you come down for it. I'll be there scream teaming too.

Dave -- I hope you weren't waiting for a car too long and that they provided some serious recompense for every minute of WDW time they made you lose. Hope you are having fun today.

Colleen - who are you kidding, girl? You are just tall and tiny. No amazon there. Oh, and did I mention gorgeous with an awesome smile? Can't wait to see you again, sweetie!

Sara -- I hope all is going well for you and that you can carve out some time for yourself very soon.

Hey Everyone: Quick check in from my tower room at the Contemporary. I didn't have to wait too long after all for my car last night. So that's good. I got into my room around 8:00p, dropped off my bags, and went right upstairs to the California Grill. I got a table in the lounge near the window, and had a nice little dinner. Mmmmmmm, the flatbread was soooooo good. I had a flatbread, a goat cheese ravioli (man, $11 for 1 ravioli? the flatbread's a much better deal), and then creme brulee for dessert. During my creme brulee, Hallowishes started at MK. They piped in the music for Hallowishes, and I got to watch that. The finale was maybe the most amazing I've ever seen.

OK, gotta head out for my KTTK tour.
Oooh, got the free dining bounceback in my room too. I gotta seriously consider our travel plans for next year...

Matt and I will also have a car and room for 2 (or 3 if you want to get really cozy - it's a small car).

Cindy
Can Tracy and I make a reservation to ride with you? Are you staying at the Embassy Suites? I'll try to find you at Expedition Everest Saturday to discuss some more. See you Saturday.

Dave and Jodi
I'll probably have a W.I.S.H. singlet on for EE and my white UF visor. I'll keep an eye out for you before and after the race. Tracy will be "scream teaming" in the parking lot for the start and finish.

Cam and Howard
Enjoy the dance lessons. Tracy and I were taking ballroom lessons when we learned she was pregnant with our first child. Thinking about it brings back great memories.

Colleen
Tracy and I are flying out of PHL at 6:30 on on Sunday. We may be able to join in for a quick snack.

Sara
Here's hoping that you are back on track for a run Thursday morning. Where did you move to?

Lou
Your injury recoveries are as fast as your runs. Maybe that explains why it takes months for me to recover.

I'm still trying to get over the sinus infection I picked up at DL. I'm really hoping that I'm over it by Saturday.

Happy running to all.

Chester

Hey Guys,

Dave, Jodi, Cindy, Chester: Enjoy the Yeti Challenge! Yup, I'm jealous.

And Cindy, congrats to you and Matt on the PDR PRs.

Colleen: Sooo...which Philly race did you decide to enter?

Sara: Hope things settle down for you. I'm excited to potentially have another Philly Half buddy. :goodvibes

Kira: Howdy! I'll be running the Philly Half in November as well.

Hi Lou, Howard, Mike, and Cam.

No running for me today, although for XT I spent a few hours this morning stripping the wood floor in our dining room with one of those big-@$$ rental sanders.

Catch you all later.

Howard - I think dancing is more stressful on the joints so I am going to hold off for a while.;)

Cam - Got a partial thumbs up from Nicole on the DE Distance Classic. We have nothing scheduled that day but she made it clear she is not coming out for the race. She said "don't bother waking me up." I'll take a look at signing up tomorrow.

Dave - Sounds like a great time at WDW.

Sara - Good luck with your run tomorrow. Hopefully you're injuried will begin to decrease. It would be nice if you could run Philly injury free.

Mike - Ground control to Major Mike...

Chester - Sorry about the DL sinus infection. Not much you can do when you can't breathe. Have fun at the Yeti!

Steve - If you meet my wife at Philly please don't tell her about stripping the wood in the dining room. I don't want her to think husbands are supposed to do that kind of work. If I did that I would have no time to run.

Colleen - Glad you'll be around for some drinks after Philly.

Hey Jodi and Cindy.

Got in 3 real easy (10 mpm) miles at 5:30AM today. The cold made the pulled muscles even tighter. Had some minor hip pain but nothing unbearable. I'll hit the pavement again tomorrow for a few more miles.

Lou

Hi everyone!

I just got back from my first post-PDR run. I think I did ok, there was definitely some residual soreness burried deep in the muscle tissue that whispered some sweet nothings to my brain. :sad2: However, after mile two they were all history. Here is the scoop:

Miles: 8.06
Time: 1:10:41
Pace: 8:46

Splits: 9:12, 10:05, 8:25, 8:37, 8:49, 8:33, 8:21, and 8:09.

I feel bushed, but good. Time for a shower.

Lou~ I mailed my registration for the Delaware Distance Classic today at the cheap rate of $20. I am looking forward to getting a new PR at that distance. By the way, if you do the dance steps right, they can definitely be stressful. Play it safe, stay away from dance floors and all hardwood floors (needing sanding) to be safe. :lmao:

To all of our friends participating in the EE event - HAVE A GREAT TIME!!! Show them where you live! (or post in this case).

Did I hear something about drinks after the Philadelphia Marathon? :rolleyes1

By the way, I saw Cam's pictures from PDR, they were great and you look normal! :rotfl: Small for normal! You, Jodi and Sara are all so tiny! When we get to Philly, I am going to look like Otrere, Queen of the Amazons compared to you three!
So Colleen - You're an Amazon Queen? Cool! Hey, wasn't Wonderwoman an Amazonian gal? Do you have the fancy bullet bouncing bracelets?

Maybe you can answer this question I've always had. How the hell does she find her invisible plane? I mean, it's a big plane and you can't just park it in the local Target lot. Does she have special glasses? Does she just keep pressing the button on the keychain and follow the "Chirp-Chirp"? Does she often bonk her head on the wing? These are important things I really am curious about.

I also have questions about her being a member of the Mile-High club in said invisible plane and subsequent reports of such activity by passengers on a commuter flight but I'll save that for another time.

I had more to post, but it all seems so trivial when there are important Superhero issues yet to be resolved.

Hey Bots

Quick drive-by...all about me :flower3: .

4 mile temp-ho run this a.m. & I'm off to Disney with my boy @ 4 pm this afternoon! I'm pumped  . I think I really have to get serious about training when I get back...everyone else is kickin' booty with their miles & such. I suppose I should sign up for Philly, too, eh?

I don't have enough time here to comment on Mike's frightening Wonder Woman rant/inquisition, but really, didn't we all expect this?:rotfl:

Have loads of fun and a wonderful race:banana: . I am wondering when I'm going to get serious about Philly training as well:rolleyes1 . No kickin miles for me;) if it makes you feel any better. Yeah, Mike was due for an out of left field commentary:rotfl: :rotfl2: :thumbsup2

Best of luck to all of the YETI participants this weekend:grouphug: .

I did run last night and yoga this a.m. I WILL do a LR on Sunday, not sure of the mileage but it'll get done:)

Have a great trip Jodi!! Can't wait to hear all about it.

Sara, I will definitely know Monday if I am doing the half or full marathon. I have 15 planned for Monday. If I can't make it I will scream team with Cam and just have a relaxed weekend in Philly with great friends!

Howard and Chester, oh yes, Lou is going to find us a local watering whole to celebrate Sunday after the marathon. I just assumed you and Cam would be there!

Dave, hope you are having fun at WDW, how was the tour? What time is DW arriving?

Cam, thank you for the compliments my dear. But since we are showering compliments, I shall take the opportunity...I saw your hair and makeup pictures for your vow renewal and they/you are BEAUTIFUL!

Mike, yes, Wonder Woman and Jamie Sommers were my heros!

Hi Bill and Steve!

As for training, I did a cycle class on Tuesday and 4.5 miles yesterday. My IT band and quad are as tight as a drum and full of knots. DH worked on it last night and it is pretty sore this morning. I am hoping the soreness is from the massage.

I will anxiously await your verdict on Monday:thumbsup2 . Jodi would probably call for my membership to be revoked if I spectate for both Philly and WDW as opposed to running so I may have to muster up some miles:hippie: . I'd like to do the 1/2 but unless I get serious here soon it wouldn't be a pretty 13.1:confused3 . Best of luck on your 15 this weekend:hug: and tons of :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: for your IT band and quad!!

I'm pretty sure no one has ever called my "tiny" before. As for the normal part, don't let the picture fool you.:lmao:

Mike – :rotfl: Nice post, but I’m going to have to agree with an earlier post of yours and vote that you were funnier in the spring. I think not being able to post at work is really cramping your style.

Colleen – In case I don’t get back on the boards before I leave, good luck on the 15 on Monday!

Dave – How was the tour?

Chester – To answer your Q, Sure! We’ll talk on Saturday.

Jodi – I guess you’re already gone. See you Saturday.

Sara – I’m happy to here that you feel like you are home. That must be a good feeling.

Howard – As usual - great run, impressive speed.

Cam – We’ll have to try to meet up to scream team together for part of the MCM.

Lou – I’m glad to hear that your knee/hip are still feeling pretty good.

Steve and Bill :wave2:

As for running, I ran an easy 5 miles yesterday and 8 this morning (with 8 strides). I was actually kind of cold on both runs – yay fall! I may need to break out some long sleeve shirts.

My LR scheduled for this weekend is 14, which I know there is no way I’m going to do in Disney, so I was planning to get it in before we left. Of course, I’ve put it off every day and now it’s tomorrow or nothing. It’s not that I don’t want to do the run, it’s just that I don’t want to get up at 4! I have a feeling I’m going to end up cutting more than a couple of miles off the run tomorrow.

Hey Everyone: Checkin' in from Disney. Thanks for asking about the tour. It was really cool! I learned a couple of tidbits I didn't know before. I was shocked to find out that most of the props/artifacts in the attraction are authentic. Such as the cannons and cannonballs in the que for Pirates, the lobby of Tower of Terror, the hearse in front of Haunted Mansion. It's actually cheaper for Disney to buy the real thing than to recreate it. The tour was long, and a lot of walking (5 solid hours). I'm glad DW wasn't with me. She has some arthritis issues herself (knees), and they would have been killing he by the end.

I didn't do much after my meeting yesterday evening. Had dinner at the Wave. It was pretty good, nothing special. I think it was because I was just eating by myself that it just seemed OK. I'm looking forward to DW arriving. I pick her up tonight at 6:30p. :cool1: :thumbsup2

I don't have any plans. She hates when I overplan, and we're running around like crazy. So I told her for her, I made no plans. She then corrected me and said, "well we're going to F&W Friday night, right? And we're going to AK for the race on Saturday, right? What else do we need to plan?"

I just laughed. I said, dinner on Thursday... big block of time Saturday before the race, etc... That's OK, I'm enjoying taking it easy this trip.

I was thinking of going to the Adventurer's Club last night, but I just didn't feel like it. I was tired, and I didn't feel like going by myself. Did I mention DW comes tonight?

OK, gotta run...

Kira - Welcome back! Great to see you will be joining us.

Mike, yes, Wonder Woman and Jamie Sommers were my heros!
My Dear, I'm happy you had heros but you still didn't answer my question!

Dave - Glad you enjoyed the tour. Kathy and I did it a few years ago and liked it as well. We thought the Wave was pretty decent when we ate there in August. Enjoy the time with DW and have fun at the race.

Nice post, but I’m going to have to agree with an earlier post of yours and vote that you were funnier in the spring. I think not being able to post at work is really cramping your style.
Ouch!! The truth stings just a bit from time to time.

Have fun this weekend and don't sweat the 14 miler. You are way ahead of the game!

Sara - 13.1 sounds pretty doable for you with the runs you've been doing.

Howard - Another fine run. Good to hear there are no ill effects from PDR.

Ooh, gotta go. DD12 needs the computer for homework. I'll have to pretend like that's more important for now.
