My son's going to post it for me tonight (if he has enough time  ).
Your son can post a video? Cool! Safe to assume he has a future (or maybe a past?) with the famous bimbo types!

CatherineCathy - I will frequently remind you that Jodi doesn't have the slightest clue who you are.

Colleen - Nothing like a race to spoil a nice vacation. I'm glad you made it back safe and sound. Now just don't go body-checking those nice North Carolinians into the canned goods at the Piggly-Wiggly.

Now that Jeff's done with his marathon training what's on the race horizon for Math Mommy?

Dave - Great to see you! Good luck with the interview. Be sure to mention that you will need plenty of band width on your internet access so you can watch Jodi's race video (and her son's coming of age tape!).

Steve - Relatives visiting and School Vacation Week??:scared1: This would be a good week to start putting in some nice loooong slooow runs.

Anne - Thanks for coming by. It's been too tough for me to get on the weekly thread lately. I kind of feel out of touch with everyone else (although I did see the WISH version of a smackdown on that DirtyBunny guy.)

I ran 6 yesterday and 7 miles this morning. Today was one of those runs where all of a sudden you notice every mile is about the same pace. 5 of the 7 were within 7 seconds and 4 miles were within 3 seconds. Wasn't trying, it just happened that way.

BTW, I'm easily ammused. Could you guess?

Thanks for the good luck Mike. Wait, I need to know the scoop on what happened to DirtyBunny? Give it up man...

Mike - Now, now, just b/c my boy turned 13 doesn't mean he's a complete dog yet...he's still my little angel  . No nasty videos yet, please!! So can we call you RainMan now since you're counting steps & seconds when you run?? DirtyBunny??? What in the heck are you talking about? Sure you're not mixing up your identities?? This is the DISBOARDS, not the ANIMALSSHOULDONLYBEPETSBOARDS! :lmao:

Colleen - No worries, if I don't get in I'm guaranteed for next year & if you want, you could just defer to '09!! See? I've got it all figured out!

Hi Anne - Thanks for coming over & saying hello!

(although I did see the WISH version of a smackdown on that DirtyBunny guy.)
:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: Yeah, the only way I ever post on that weekly thread is to defend WISH'ers when the drama flares up over there:rolleyes1 . Down with the Bunny:mad: .

Dave - So good to "see" you and best of luck with the job interview:banana: .

Steve - BTDT:scared: . Luckily I had a business trip last week so I got out of some of the school vacation obligations:rolleyes1 . Lots of :wizard: for getting through it:lmao: .

Colleen - Welcome home and congrats to Jeff:cheer2: ! I can't believe someone stole your DD's hat from a CHURCH:eek: . I'm going to Boston in June for business so I may be hitting you up for suggestions...

Cathy & Jodi - :wave2:

I'm going to try to get out and run tonight:confused3 . I am wicked yoga sore so even if I don't I'm okay with it:hippie: . I am still pretending that I am going to run the Lake Placid 1/2 in June so I am trying to keep some sort of training plan going here:rolleyes: .

Happy training to all:grouphug: !

Colleen - sounds like you had a true New England experience in Boston - Gland you survived!

Dave - good to hear from you! Glad to hear that things are looking better and good luck on your interviews.

Steve - Good luck with your guests.

Jodi - So, you just ran a 50K, what's next?popcorn::

Anne - :wave2: I knew you'd been around here. I went to post that I was running the Army Ten Miler on the Race thread and it was already there! You beat me to it again!

Hi Mike and Sara!

Ran 5 this morning. Had to be in work a little early so I had to get up at 4:50!! Getting up at a time that starts with 4 just isn't right (sorry Sara). It was a decent run. As I mentioned before in my post to Amy, I have been running my easy runs at close to a 10:30 pace. This morning I decided that I want to try to do the short easy ones a little faster, so I tried to run close to 10. I finished in 49:59 so I guess that's as close as it can get!

I've actually now run 5 days in a row (even though Monday was only 3 miles) and I feel ok:banana: Don't worry, tomorrow is a rest day. The 5 on Friday and 20 on Saturday:scared:

Yes, I do lurk here amongst the fast crowd..:tiptoe:

Mike, Had my first "glad I didn't have anything in my mouth" experience when I read your smackdown comment!! :lmao: :rotfl2:

Dave, I will PM you the details. The wagons are circled and we are in full ignore mode. :ssst: How was the interview?

I'll try not to intrude too often, but sometimes I just gotta comment on the thread about what an awesome group of super talented folks there are here. That includes you, Chester AND you, SteveOH! :goodvibes Anne

Anne - I took a look what was doin' over there & it looked like you did some serious bee-atch slappin' :thumbsup2 :rotfl2: .

Greetings Everyone: OK, I'm trying to be better about keeping in touch.

I had my first couple of interviews yesterday, and they went well. Really nice people, and we had a great conversation. I have a full day today, and have to give 3 presentations. I'm going to be beat by the end of the day. I haven't run since Saturday, but I'm going to be burning a lot of calories via stress today.

Dave - Glad you're posting again and please continue to do so even if your running is sporadic. We're not just about running and we worry about you when you don't check in:grouphug: . Lots of prayers and :wizard: for the job interviews!

Cindy - Are you really going to run 20 this weekend:eek: ? When are you leaving for the Minnie?

Anne - Thanks for putting my intended races on the WISH calendar as well:hug: .

Jodi - Is the NYC 1/2 your next anticipated race and when are they doing the lottery for that one?

Colleen, Mike & Lou - :wave2:

Speaking of not checking in - where the heck are Chester and Steve-OH? Granted, I saw Steve-OH and Krista last week in person so I know they're doing well and Steve was planning on doing a tri sometime soon but Chester really needs to touch base. Come on Chester, what've you & Tracy been up topopcorn:: ?!

Happy training to all this week:cheer2: . I am hoping to run 8 miles on Saturday so fingers crossed please:hippie: .

Mike - Now, now, just b/c my boy turned 13 doesn't mean he's a complete dog yet...he's still my little angel  .
Oh that's right. I forgot that it was only me and EVERY OTHER 13 year old boy that I knew thought about that stuff. Not the rest of the world... and heck, that was 30 years ago. Society has grown much more conservative and refined in those 30 years. Kids are so much more sheltered now that I'm sure your safe for another 8 or 9 years:thumbsup2 .
So can we call you RainMan now since you're counting steps & seconds when you run??
When's Wopner? Sorry Einstein, but I let the Garmin tell me how many seconds. If I tried to count and run at the same time I'd go down like a sack o' taters.

Getting up at a time that starts with 4 just isn't right
Cathy - I get up in the 4's to run too. 4 PM, but still. Enjoy your rest day today.

I'll try not to intrude too often, ...
Anne - Hearing from you could NEVER be an intrusion:love: but Jodi will probably forget your name.

Dave - Good luck with the interviews and presentations. Remember, you need fitness equipment, a deep water pool for swogging, long lunch breaks for runs and a snackroom supplied with Gu, Gatorade, and Powerbars.

Hi PhillyPeeps

Yeh, Dave, what Sara said!!

Sara - HEY! Were you able to run at all yesterday? Going for 8 this weekend?popcorn:: Good luck  . I've already signed up for the NYC 1/2 lottery & hopefully will get in. I may try & sneak something in b4 that, but not sure what, most likely another 1/2 or the like. NO MORE LRs :rotfl: for a while.

CINDY - 20 miles this weekend? UGH. RU getting excited for the R&RM in CA? Hope you already got your airfare, as it's going up & up! Dont know what's next for me  .

My toes are SO sore :confused3 I've come to the conclusion that this is all because I didn't tie my shoes tight enough  . Never had issues b4, so what else could it be? I think I'll be posting my documentary soon as my son uploaded it on to youtube & I think I'll be able to post the link here :lmao: :confused3

Dave - Glad you're posting again and please continue to do so even if your running is sporadic. We're not just about running and we worry about you when you don't check in:grouphug: .
Heck, I'm not about the running hardly at all. I'm here to make an a** of myself.

Mission accomplished daily!

Anne - What Mike said. I'm looking forward to meeting you next weekend!

Dave - I hope Day 2 of interviews goes well! Let us all know.

Sara - yes, I am really going to run 20 miles:scared: :scared: Sending you lots of :wizard: for your 8 miles.

Jodi - I'm getting a little nervous about the marathon. Why exactly am I doing this again? I think I'm going to be more nervous for this one than for the MCM. Then I just cared about finishing. Now I have a time goal:eek: I'm almost scared to type this, but I'd like to finish in under 4:30. Based on my times for other races, I "should" be able to, but I think we all now how far "should" is going to get you in a marathon.

Mike - Getting excited about Cleveland? Or are you like, it's just another marathon, I run those all the time?

I leave for the Minnie next Friday!:cool1: But I'm getting worried about my sister. I'm not sure that she is going to be able to finish. I offered to run with her, but she doesn't want me to, which is actually probably a good thing, we'd likely bicker the whole time.

Cindy - Run your Minnie race, then go back & find your sister! AND NO BICKERING!! If both of you carry cell phones you should be fine. As far as running your marathon in under 4:30? No sweat! If you're doing 2 hour 1/2s in the pouring rain!!

OK guys, I'm ready to post the link to my "documentary". Let me preface this w/ a few things;

1. Some of my family calls me Dodo (long story).
2. Bruce & Skye were sitting in the same place for nearly 6 hours, just for me, so the video is more about them than me.
3. As you know, Bruce teased me incessantly about training for Bejing, you'll find many references alluding to this.
4. I'm a dog person (wolves really) & every animal I've gotten is from the pound...I've been known to pick up dogs on the street & bring them home. That is why the dog following me thing is so significant.

So here ya go, lemme know what you think! www.youtube.com/jodidough IF you don't find it too funny, I plead the old line "guess you had to be there!"

Since EPCOT will still be closed, will I actually be able to get back on the course? I assumed that I wouldn't.

Yay DO DO!!!!!!!

Awesome video. It was just like I was there, waiting for you to come around on the next lap.

:lmao: Hey, I never said I was Spielberg!!

:wave2: And isn't it nice of you to stop by the threads....what's shakin', there, Skippy?
