Colleen - First, I noticed I wasn't mentioned in you last post. I believe I now know which list I'm on. I will work very hard to get back in your good graces.
Second, buy the tickets. Having an event in the nearer future to look forward to may just the ticket to get you going again.
Third, how did DH's run go?
1. Mike, wow, you are a hard worker!
FRIENDS!
2. I am pretty close to buying my flight to Minnie, also thinking about AP rates as well. You know when some things are a no-brainer and you just do it! Well for some reason something is nagging at me about Minnie weekend and I don't know what it is.
DD8 had a Girl Scout campout last year on that weekend, I remember because that is the reason I couldn't do Flying Pig. But she has lost interest in Scouts now that she is a blossoming swimmer.
3. Well, DH's run went OK, he is talking walk breaks about every 2 miles to stretch, but he did get 10 miles in.
Funny story, we were talking last night about Boston. He was thinking a good time to register would be in about a month after he gets a good 16 and 18 miler in.
I went onto Runners world.com and I guy there posted that the 20,200 runners have already registered and it will probably fill within the next week.
DH quickly ran upstairs to his office to find his deferral letter from last year to register online. HE CAN'T, it has to be mailed in! He completed the form, wrote the check and we walked it down to the post office this afternoon so it could get to Hopkinton, MA within a few days.
I guess we will wait and see!
As for me, I got in another 4 miles walking today. I plan to start going to 6 am yoga now that I am working girl!
Good night McPhillies!
.
I lurked over there a bit last year when DH was registered to run 2007 Boston. Good thing I was lurking b/c that was the only way we found out that his entry could be deferred until this year. He is eternally indebted to me because ...shhh!....

Checking in with the family
. So I guess it's back to the ortho to see where we go from here. MRI anytime would be great
. Actually, the pain seems to have moved down my leg a bit which gives me some comfort in thinking it's a muscular or a tendon/ligament thing. Perhaps some physical therapy may be all I need to fix me up. I did run this morning and will continue to do so on a reduced basis as long as I am not in agony as a result. It doesn't ever hurt when I run and even on days I don't run it hurts just from being on my leg.
.
. I'm right there with you counting the days until Spring. We're expecting about a foot of snow tonight. Hopefully 3/9 will come quickly for you!
. Your training plan for the week looks real good
.
Wipe on, wipe off.
And well...the green loincloth? I'm afraid to ask.
Well...considering the source I don't know if that's very comforting.
. Only not normal in that she is extra special terrific!!
. How's the training & motivation? Are you working at all this week? How's Kathy & how come she doesn't post here? Have you signed up for the full or the half yet for that run you & Cindy are running?
I could wear sunglasses @ that race! You know, if you buy tights like Mike's you could run outside when it's 20 degrees...
