Anyone stayed there? DH has a convention there in mid-July and the wives are included!!! I'm planning to do a lot relaxing, resting and reading, while he's on the golf course.

...might even find my way to the spa.

I've never stayed there since I live here , but I've been to the dinner theater and that was nice. St. Charles has a very nice downtown area for shopping though! I'll see if I can dig up some more information for you.

Hi! They have been doing a lot of remodeling lately. They just finished (or are just finishing up) remodeling the the theatre. Used to be a dinner theatre, but I believe it will just be plays, no dinner.

The Bakers Wife Restaurant had very good food, and am presuming it still does. There is golf, swimming, Bourbon Street (shops). You should have a nice time.

If you do a search, they have a pretty good website....it is in St. Charles, Illinois.

There is also a mall up the road about 2 miles called Charlestown Mall...not huge, but not tiny either.A good way to kill some time if happens to be rainy. I agree with heading into the historic downrown area. There are some really cute shops and restaurants.

It has been quite a few years since I was there, both dinner/theater and overnight. It was nice then and I have heard it still is. Another closeby town is Geneva, on the Fox. Very quaint, lots of foo-foo, fluff shops. A very nice area.

It has been a couple of years but as I recall it is very nice... The pools are great! We were there for a convention also... The did a pig roast for us and the convention services were excellent... The shopping around there is great, too!
