Any pharmacys close by? Or does anyone know of a pharmacy that will deliver ? Any idea on price of delivery service? TIA! My mom left her metformin at home and we just got here! Bummer!

The delivery pharmacy I hear about from other posters is Turner Pharmacy. They deliver to each resort front desk. I have never read a complaint about them. You could call them for info to get your mom her medicine. They have posted delivery rates. Delivery to POR is $7.50.

Over the last almost 20 years we used Turner Drug a few times. They are attached to a walk-in care facility which was very convenient. We never used their delivery service but when I was checking in to POFQ 11 days ago, I saw their delivery person standing nearby. They don't take insurance but do give a detailed receipt for you to submit. (At least that's how it was up to a few years ago.)

Yes Turner is good. If you (or anyone here just for info) has a car there is a Walgreen's right outside of Disney. Take a right when you reach Gooding's and it's just up the street. We've used the pharmacy there and they are very nice.

Ditto on the Walgreens -- due to mistakenly bringing the empty inhaler with me for my asthma, and the fact that my prescription was filled at Walgreens back home I went there. The cab ride from POR there and back was around $20.00 and that included the driver waiting for me.

Turners has been delivering to Disney for years. Here is there website.

The closest chain drug store is Walgreens on 12100 S Apopka Vineland Rd.
Both are used to dealing with tourist.
If you prefer Walmart they are further down Apopka Vineland.

We used Turner last November when we were there. My daughter came down with bronchitis and her ped faxed a script to us at the resort and the resort contacted the pharmacy. We called them at 7 that night and they had the meds to us by midnight. It was a great service.
