Do you know what the hours for Lombard's will be at the end of this month. We'd like to dine there one evening, most likely on the 24th. If they close at 5pm, that will be too early for us to eat dinner. I'm hoping to make a reservation for 8 or 8:30pm. Thanks :)

I don't know for sure but I suspect they will be open late as this is one of the restaurants that is doing the VIP viiewing for Cinesphere. You have to be eating there to do the VIp viewing.

I plan to call tomorrow (well, I guess it's technically today now ;) ) to see if they're taking reservations for our dates. Do I need to make a special request for the VIP viewing, or just make a normal reservation? Thanks for your help. :)

Well, I called to make a reservation for Lombard's. I was told that they were only taking reservations to 6pm. That's too early for us to eat dinner, not to mention the fact that it's way too early to eat then stay to watch the show. She said everything after 6pm would probably be walk-ins requiring a wait. Does anyone know if there's a way to secure a reservation for 8 or 8:30pm? We prefer having reservations for all dinners, but mostly I don't want to arrive there expecting to be seated as a walk-in then not get a table.

Send me a PM with your name, number in party, and time you want and I'll help you.

There no reservations after 6:00 PM at Lombards. It is walk up only after 6:00 PM.

If you want the special viewing area for the Cinesphere show, you just have to show a receipt from Lombards showing you ate there that day after 4:00 PM. Anyone with a receipt with an after 4:00 PM time, can sit in the special viewing area. There is no need to eat right before Cinesphere and hope you are through eating before it starts. Just eat early and return for the Cinesphere show.

No problem. Thanks for checking on it for me. :) I'll have to consider the options. We don't usually eat dinner that early, but may decide to give it a try. I'm sure I'll be back for more advice, after I've put more thought into it.

What are the chances that Cinesphere will still be going on during our 10/4-10/8 stay? Universal is closiing each day at either 5 or 6, so I'm thinking it probably won't happen, right? If so we'd love to try the Lombards thing with VIP seating for the show. TIA

Like momof3 said it will not run after the 12th as it isn't dark outside whe the park closes. There is a good chance they will use the cinespere for Halloween Horror nights though but it won't be the same show.
