I am going to WDW in Dec. and my DS will be 12 months. I was thinking he would enjoy going to a petting zoo. Is there a petting zoo at FW? I coudn't find any information on it.

Thanks

The petting zoo is no longer there but they have placed Pony Rides in it's place.

There are still quite a few animals in what the previous petting zoo area was. It's no longer a full fledged petting zoo, but I constantly see kids in the area, always seeming to have a good time. Plus right next door they have the stables where they keep a lot of the large horses they use throughout Disney World, trust me, it's not just an empty space!

There is also a nice petting farm at Conservation Station at Animal Kingdom! :goodvibes

We were last there in February and we could go in to the corral area by the blacksmith and the kids could pet goats, a very sizable pig and a couple other farm animals. Nothing fancy, but certainly "pettable" animals.

Our girls REALLY enjoyed seeing the "horses used at WDW" as they put it! Also our oldest enjoyed watching the blacksmith.
