My family is planning their first visit to Orlando and we can't under any circumstances even consider leaving our dog home. We are driving from Maine and have rented a house. I need information on park kennels or reputable local kennels that I can leave my dog in for the day while we;re visiting the parks. Photos of kennels would be great too.

Don't have photos, but the kennel is nice. I think it's $12 a day, and free for AP holders. The kennel is located at the corner of the north parking garage, so you have to pay to park, then follow a separate line that leads to the entrance.
They have big cages outside that are covered by shade. Little dogs can stay in the building in smaller cages.
What you do is put your dog in, visit a park, then come back at lunch time to walk them. You show your license each time to get your dog out, it must match the copy they keep on file.

We normally stay on-site at the royal pacific resort, so we normally leave them in our room and come back during lunch time to walk them. But we have sometimes left them in the universal kennel while we are at the parks and then pick them up before leaving b/c they can not stay there overnight. We definitely agree with robvia, the universal kennels are great. The one's inside for small dogs are air conditioned and the ones outside our under the shade so that at no time is ur dog left under extreme heat pressure whether they are inside or outside in the large kennels. The staff is great and the times that we have left our doggies there they have seemed to genuinely care about our doggies and have been very friendly and caring towards each of them. So if were not staying on-site we would definitely go with the universal kennels.
