We have reservations for 5 nights in March which I made on the website. There was no place to say I was bringing our dogs. I called the general reservations center to ask them if I needed to do anything to make sure I get a pet loop site and they said to just tell them when I arrived and they would put me in one. Is this correct or is there some other number I can call to insure that I can get a pet site? Just trying to cover all of the bases because I don't want to get there and be stuck without a pet site. Thanks.

I would call CRO again and have them add a notation to your reservations that you will be bringing a pet and that you are requesting a pet loop. I don't know that it would be a problem asking at check in, but I would feel better having it noted on my reservation.

Definately call CRO and have them annotate it on your reservation. Last time we checked in, they had assigned us a non-pet loop even though it was on our reservation. By the time we arrived, alot of the sites in the pet loops were all gone because they had pre-assigned us the incorrect loop. It took quite awhile for them to find a site that we could fit into and also would take a pet. So, highly recommend making sure it is on the reservation, even though they occassionally make a mistake, at least it is on the request so they can fix their mistake.

I did the same thing as you did. I made my ressie online then started reading about the pet loops. I then called them directly and had to pay $5 a day for my pet which is fine. When I received the reservation confirmation in the mail it had the addional pet charge along with everything else we requested.
Have a Wonderful Time!

Just to reinforce what has been said, call ahead. They occassionally open other loops as overflows for pet loops, but not always. If there is "no room at the inn" for your pet, you may be required to kennel him during your stay. Now I would not have a problem with that since our beagle is a regular at Disney Doggie Day Care, but some might take issue with this.

As an aside re. the kennel, if it is full, they can make arrangements for you at one of the other 4 kennels on property. If things really get full, they do have a local veterinarian who operates a kennel and has agreed to handle disney overflow. This may become important during a hurricane, since the FW kennel is the only kennel on property that must be evacuated due to the huge trees next to the building. In the event of a hurricane, guests already registered at the FW kennel have priority at the other kennels. If you have elected to keep your pet in your camper, it will be first come first served at the other kennels after FW kennel guests have been taken care of. As you can see, I had a rather extensive discussion re this with the kennel staff last october before Wilma.

Thanks for the info. I did call and got them to put the pet loop request on the reservation. They also found some things that were screwed up on my reservation due to some mess up with the computer reservation system. I guess it pays to follow up.
