Petition for new Pirates Game

Hi. I do not like the new Pirates game. And I am sure lots of people don't either. I used to be level 3, but now then bounced me back to level 1. Also you cannot play with the computers like you use to be able to. So if you are one of the people like me, please sign your VMK name to try and change the game back to its old self.

I also like it. I mean you get way more credits than you used to. And I like playing with people more than computers. It's more fun. Plus you now get two different game options.

I prefer the new game! I Really like CTF. I had 300+ 3rd Level Wins and it did not bother me at all to be reset. When they fix the few bug left I will like it even more!! Although I kind of have fun sometimes playing BLIND pirate

Thanks. But its not for post count boosts im just saying that I like people' s opinions on things. Just because I don't like the new game, dosen't mean everyone has to hate it.

It takes a lot longer to get a game started, since both sides have to fill up equally, but the game sometimes goes faster, and sometimes gives more credits. I don't like that it's much less predictable to win since we're playing against real ppl and usually with ppl we don't know and it's frustrating a lot. Not as frustrating as the frequent blind games I get. DS managed to get the flag and bring it back home completely blind today. His team mates commented on it the next round when he could see the text b/c he had typed that he was blind at the beginning of the first round.

It's funny how the first couple days ppl advanced quickly, but since I missed the early boat I was on level one when others were up to two and three. It was hard to find level one games for a couple days. Now tonight it was hard to find a level two game. Everything was level one! with a couple of threes in there.

I wish we could choose between either game, the old or new, maybe have the old one still free but less credits, like 25,50 and 75 for wins.

I have to give Kudos to the ppl creating this game. I'm not real good at pirates, but play all the same. The graphics and the new improvements to pirates is awesome. I really like what they have done to the game. As for GurlRoxRDG post counts boost's?..., I really like the idea that she is really involved with what she thought, and checks back to see what we think. I give her the highest praise for her involvement, and her polite nature.

LOL, sorry to be another one to disagree with you GurlRox, but I too love the new Pirates, especially CTF. The graphics are awesome, I love the little animated scenes from the ride, like the wench auction and the mayor dunking scene! So cute! And who can resist the little rowboats?

The one thing I don't like is how the game punishes you for playing against the computer, and how in CTF you can't play against the computer at all. A lot of times I prefer playing against a computer because the computer doesn't bark orders at you or put you down for not playing the way it wants you to. Less pressure.

You know, GurlRox, I am having trouble with the game, too. There seems to be less clear water to drive the boat around in and so much more to concentrate on. But, that said, I will try to spend more time practicing to see if I can get any better at it. As other posters said, the game does have some bugs that need to be fixed - I don't know if you have experienced this yet, but the "blindness" posters are speaking of, where all the boats vanish from the screen while the game still continues, is very frustrating lol.

PS...I, also, like your appreciation of different opinions .

The game is in my opinion 1,000,000,000,000 times better than the old one. Way more detail, graphic abilities tokens and options.
I earned 300+ after I played with a cook and against my best friend.
I went boom on the first mode typing, then all the suddon Im.. Im

The DARE DEVILI end up destroying every other ship and its me and 2 others, I hit every ship on the other team. Final round I did it again and I got 200 credits total, I got out and got a bonus 100 and made it to the high list.

My opinion the pirates is the best thing because I never play mini games but now I play Pirates and earn at least 10,000 a day.

I love the new capture the flag and what is to not like about the credits!

Win or lose you get credits.


Last night while playing my team lost and still received 185 credits for the lost....much better than the big fat 0 you got in the old game.

Also had a few good wins, one of which netted 289 credits...


sorry I can not help you out by signing your petition but I this new game.

Keep playing maybe it will grow on you and I am sure a few DISers would not mind helping you get to level 3.

This new game is just so far more advanced. You get to choose your ship and like it was said before, the credit prize is certainly not something to complain about! Even though you have to pay to play, I have earned more credits through that game than any other!

The graphics are excellent and I LOVE how they added in scenes from the REAL Pirates of the Caribbean ride (and I suppose movie as well).

I'm sorry, I'm a pirate girl...what can I say? lol.

While I do not hate the game completely, I do wish they had given us some warning before they changed it. I had just given given away my invisablity magic pin to someone and was going to make a mule and get a new one then they changed the game before I had a chance to do so. When ever I needed credits I would play pirates over and over I had gotten my 1,500 level 3 wins credit bonus just before they changed it it was my favorite game and I miss it.

I also have issues with :
The "pay to play" thing sorry some times you lose money some times you win big is gambling, this is not something I think we should be teaching the kids this game is supposed to be for. Yes I am sure authentic pirates did gamble but come on we are not trying for realism here it's a kids game.

I have to play with others! Sorry but I don't always want to have to depend on someone elses skill, especialy when I am trying to get quick credits for something. While I did/do like to play with others for fun. There are times when I just want to play with my self.

Weird credit reward schedule I can't see any reasoning to it has anyone else figured out how they are determining how many credits you get? I have recieved as little as 3 and as high as 300 but most games are in the 100-200 range.

Weird credit bonus schedule some times you get an extra bonus message with more credit there is no reasoning to this either, sometime you get 10 some times you get 500. I like the bonus system better on the old game I knew if I had played 100 games on level 3 I was getting another 1,000. credits. If I had played 20 times on level 1 I was getting a blue pirate chair and 375 credits. Etc.

How dark the screen is, my monitor is on its lightest setting and is still very difficult to see the islands in the game which there are a lot more of than the last game.

The many bugs like games where you can't see any ships. Hopefull they will fix these soon.

Am I/Will I still be playing pirates yes, even the new version is better than haunted mansion to me. And if you are having more wins than losses you still earn more money than any other game except fireworks, which my computer is just to slow to play. But I really miss my old pirates game.

Thanks all. I will try it more and maybe it will grow on me. I don't know. It is just so confusing and I only get a few credits 6 -20 and the monster that grabs you if you do not move is so annoying. I am not sure what everybody means by playing "blind". But over all i'll try the game a couple more times see if I can get better. And I also do not like how you have to pay to play.

I LOVE the new pirates!

- The credits are far better than in the old game.
- You CAN play against the computer if you play ship battle (which is most similar to the old game)
- The various elements regarding our ship (little row boat, picking different boats, the sea monster) make it exciting and keep it fresh.
- Two different types of pirate games - yay for variety!
- Everyone started back at level one, so that was not really a big deal. We are all equal again. Plus, there is no prize at level three so no hurry to get there if you dont have much time.

I DO wish VMK had told us invisibility magic was going away. I had JUST traded mine - knowing I could replace it with a little work. Now I don't have it. If I had known it was leaving - I would never have traded mine. But, I guess that's the breaks.

I think the more you play the new pirates, you may learn to enjoy it.
