I know the feeling......the first time Kevin sent me a message I was just way more excited then any grown woman should get. I don't want to brag or anything but one time Kevin actually mentioned me in a podcast!
So what if he also said that I like to torment him??? Dont we always abuse the ones we love most?

Right there with ya. I had something I said on the boards read on the podcast, and I too was more excited than a grown woman should get. And I'm a guy!!!

I don't want to be a bubble burster but I wouldn't get your hopes up. My wife has been, unsuccessfully, trying to get her name changed. She only wants to change 1 letter (her last initial) now that we're married. She has been told it can not be done by tech support. It's kinda unfortunate because it was actually the Disboards that introduced us (yes we met right here on the single or solo adults forum), caused me to move darn near half across the country and eventually get married.

We don't really want her to lose all her previous posts and counts etc. so I guess we'll just have to deal with it. Sorry if I'm a Debbie Downer, just wanted to relay our experience. Won't stop me from becoming a lifetime sponsor though, I think we owe the DIS that much since they were the arrow in Cupid's little plan.

Yes! I think it is just the idea that these people that I am so incredibly fond of have finally acknowledged my existence?! That must be it. There is no other rational reason for such a reaction.

Heaven, help me if they ever mention me on the podcast. I may lose some important bodily functions and have to go change my clothes (she says as she blushes profusely).

Great idea on the publishing house, the DIS could become a huge multi-million dollar enterprise. OOOOHH...if it becomes an enterprise I want to be Scotty, love that scotish accent.

Kevin!!! I hope you are still following this thread.

You absolutely have an amazing gift of speaking eloquently. Truly, the way you weave words in your sentences completely sweeps me off my feet sometimes. I could just listen to your vocabulary all day. Even my eight-year-old daughter recently confessed that your restaurant reviews are the best part of the podcast because she loves listening to you.

Anyway, if you read my story and like it. Would you be willing to write a foreward for it? I would be overwhelmed . . . again.

well hopefully when its ready to be published there will be a link to where we can order it. and maybe it can be plugged on the podcast. as far as a name change goes... IF there are extenuating circumstances where it needs to be changed to protect your identity, then i would say yes.
