hehe. i've been listening to a lot of the old podcasts lately, and Bob has the only "normal" voice to me!!
though when Pete gets angry, he tends to drop his "r"'s too. It's very funny cause that seems to be the norm around here as well - the angrier/more intoxicated people get, the more the accent comes out.
Another Bergen County, NJ native here. I've been told that I don't usually have a strong Jersey accent most of the time, except when I get riled up, and then I "go all Jersey on 'em."
Whist we're talking accents, what is it with the pronounciation of the word herb? Why do Americans drop the h? Surely you can't all want to sound like the French?

Well, Martha Stewart puts an "H" on herb. Maybe she has something against the French? By the way, I love "whilst" but people in NC would just laugh at me if I said it.
I do get a kick out of Pete's accent. And Julie's is adorable.
I am also from Bergen County--I can definitely hear Pete's accent, even though I am sure *I* do not have one. Like someone else said, if I get riled up, my Jersey comes out, but usually I don't think I have a strong accent at all.
Where in Bergen County is Pete from?
And speaking of Bergen County..someone followed me home today to tell me they loved my personalized DVC license plate.
I remember Pete saying he used to live in Ocean Grove which is Monmouth County. That's very close to us. Sean is five minutes from it and I'm twenty. I don't hear an accent either.
I hear Pete's accent. He does have one sometimes its stronger sometimes its barely there. But it is there. Then again I don't think I have a southern accent but everyone from up north says I do.
I lived in the Boston area most of my life and whenever I traveled I got kidded about my "accent".................especially by my family in Arizona.
I moved to FL in 2001 and when I went back North to visit last year for the first time in my life I actually could " hear" the Boston accent in the newscasters and people on TV......so weird
I also noticed, listening to old podcasts that BAWB really has the accent
