I'm not sure if this is the first place we should go at RD, or if we should book a FP for it? Thanks

Our past two trips we have reserved a FP+. We are just finding it harder and harder to make it to MK at RD and our children LOVE this ride, so it is a must do! We have found that the lines are consistently 45-75 min. throughout the day after RD (based on our last few visits).

Normally I would just FP Peter Pan (as it is a favourite of ours), but now that they have a new interactive queue, I'd like to try that out! I would think that FP+ keeps you from going through the interactive queue. As long as you go directly there at RD, your wait should be minimal I would think? Good luck with your planning.

Oh, you SO have to try the new queue if you're a fan of Peter Pan!!! Totally worth a 15-30 minute wait at RD. It's so darling- no pun intended ;)

Did not know this - yes, we'd definitely like to see the queue, versus not seeing it with a FP, thank you!

If you want to ride late in the evening without waiting, you can. If you watch Wishes! from Fantasyland (near PP), you can enter the queue as soon as the show ends. It is closed during Wishes! but reopens right away afterwards. I have walked right on several times by doing this.

I don't plan on getting a FP for it. I want to see the queue, so I'm planning on making it my first stop at RD.

We're definitely doing standby to see the new queue. I wonder if standby is even longer than it usually is with people want to experience the queue. No matter, we're going to do it early, shouldn't be terribly long and I expect with my grandson, we won't be in any hurry anyway.

We hit Peter Pan first things at rope drop last week, and got to see the new queue without waiting very long. This is our second time hitting it at rope drop without a FP, and it's worked well for us.

It doesn't have to be the first thing you hit, but you don't have to FP it either. if you aren't doing Mine Train, Anna/Elsa or Cinderella/Rapunzel at Rope Drop then yes, I would suggest Peter Pan. if you are doing any of those I would say do those first, then Peter Pan.

The vast majority of people in fantasyland on a single day have no clue the queue area was even redone. For alot of the guests who have been before, they may not even notice once inside either. I'd be shocked if more than 4 or 5 people an hour chose to ride peter pan via standby soley because of the new queue. Most people want the shortest wait possible.

Its a good candidate for RD, with 95% of crowd going to A&E and 7DMT, with the bonus of getting to see the interactive queue. We usually RD it on 1st MK day, circle around new and old fantasyland, and start using FPs on 7DMT/A&E/HM around 11am. On other days it is nice to go right to BTMR/Splash first thing and get multiple rides with no one around for the first hour, and plenty of time to hit POTC/JC and adventurenland before crowds build up. 7DMT/A&E has really helped us avoid morning crowds in a strange way.

We did it at rope drop in November 2014 (before the new queue) and it worked like a charm, freeing up a FP for us for what was an otherwise surprisingly crowded day. There were a bunch of others who had the same plan, so we really did have to make a bee line there.

I am definitely doing RD for PP during the Spring. This is the first time I'll be on the ride with the new queue and am very excited to experience it! If you don't mind getting to MK early, I say go for it and save the FP for another ride! :)

The amazing thing about this ride is the adults with out kids (like me)who will stand in line for this treasure. I fastpass it, but some MK days I just go and enjoy,
I say do both.
