I noticed peter pan is scheduled for a 5 month refurb until the middle of May. What do you guys think? I am guessing they are doing something simmilar to the new Alice in WOnderland setup which I think was awesome for that ride I just don't want them to mess up Peter Pan. My favorite scene is flying over London and I really hope they don't try to "digitize" it. But then again I can't imagine it taking 5 months to do a paint job. Any thoughts?

Where did you find this info on Peter Pan?

I haven't called the Disney hotline for a list. Their number for the Refurbishment list 714 781 4636 select park info and follow prompts.

I think they are going to do add some of those projection type effects to PP. I personally can't wait to see what they come up with. It's one of the most popular and beloved rides in FL. I think they will do it right. Any changes will hopefully add to the ride.

That link is from October. The new refurbs Disney has announced does not include Peter Pan. Not that it can't change, but the January refurbs have been pretty much the same for a couple weeks now.

Here is the link for the current schedule listed by MousePlanet. You can also go onto disneyland.com for info.

Bummer...that's my favorite. :sad1: I hope they don't change it too much.

Currently the Disneyland.com calendar only goes through February 2, 2015 (at least that's all I could get to come up) and it shows Peter Pan as being under refurbishment starting on Monday, 2/2 (I didn't see it listed for 2/1). However, the DLR refurbishment schedule seems to always be a work in progress, so just because it's showing as being closed right now, doesn't mean that will actually be closed on 2/2.

Very curious how they will update this. I do love this ride but it's soooooooo short for the time you spend waiting. I swear its a 30 second ride. Maybe they can magically make it longer...? :rotfl:

Oh, I totally agree!! Every time I ride Peter Pan I get off saying "That was too short! Can't they make it longer?!!" LOL!

My guess is that they do the same thing to the queue as they just completed at WDW. They did nothing to the ride but made an incredible entrance where you walk through the darlings house. They took their area through the backside of the castle and used up the bathroom areas usually accessed from the other side. DL has the same setup. Normally the line is just crazy and sticks out into the middle of the walkway during busy times.

Rumors have pointed to DL updating all the classic dark rides so I have to disagree. I think they will be updating the ride, not the queue. And if they do it right, it will just be one more ride that is superior to the WDW version. :)

I've read the same rumors as Blue32, which generally indicate that the ride itself is going to be updated (like Alice was in 2014). I haven't seen anything about updating the queue, but I suppose that would be possible to do at the same time (there is that little used shop next to PP).
