I can't deny that I have occasionally listened to the show and thought, "Am I not the target audience for this?" when they were talking about things like suites and concierge rooms ("only" $200/night extra) and many-thousand-dollar ABD trips and costly hard-ticketed events and such, but never did I think they should stop talking about those things. It's their show!
I take it differently and they are letting me know what all of these options are so when I am able to make a smart purchase choice. $200 more on the room but you might be able to remove a couple meals with the extras they lay out for you and when you have a couple people or more it sounds like it might be cheaper.. I would have never known to do the homework like that without them talking about it.
ABD is a whole new world for me. I never gave it much thought, didn't know why it existed in the first place but now I'm seeing some things that catch my eye.. I would have never thought about looking at ABD for a behind the scenes look. if I didn't move, I would have done my first ABD to the WDW backstage trip this year.
Now the downside of this is staying at contemporary or poly for a holiday weekend is looking more and more possible. I'm 15 minutes away by car from these resorts yet here I am thinking about getting MK view rooms with club/concierge for a staycation...
anyone that thinks living closer is cheaper, do the math on how much some of this stuff would cost you
