Pete, Kevin, John, podcast team, RU23?

OMG Jason. :scared1: You didn't just do that did you?

A carrot cake may have nuts and shards of carrot but we do not call this a cookie. :confused3 It's still a cake.

Be gone you cake hater. :sad1:
J-Kim is certainly not a cake hater...

Well, he at least doesn't hate my cakes...

Don't get me started on crunchy peanut butter either. The salmonella likes to hide in the nuts. It's a proven scientific fact. ;)

Oh no you dident!

I really don't like any peanut butter. That is unless it's enrobed in chocolate (think Reeses).

Wow this got off topic before I could even comment. I will ignore the brownie and cake debate, although I am pro cake and pro brownie.

1. I dont know why people are so up in arms about the Podcast and the blog offering their opinion. There are plenty of places to get the information, I love the podcast because of them offering there opinions, we all know they love Disney but they are honest about the problems they have with the company and the parks. If you want to hear a Disney love fest, then head on over to Lou's two hour podcast, I don't think I have ever heard him say one negative thing about Disney.

2. I am going to join, I am a little disappointed by the whole D23 thing, I wish there was more, but I did go to Barnes and Noble last night and bought the magazine. You can say whatever you want about how they handled this, but that magazine is beautiful, great pictures, good content, I only hope that they keep it up.

3. Disney is a publicly traded company, you all seem to forget that and jump all over them. They are here to make money, you can’t fault them for that, if you have a problem with what they are doing, don’t buy it and make your voice heard that way.

I can't stand peanut butter in or out of anything. I can't stand peanuts either, but people look at me like I'm crazy because of course if you don't like one you should like the other. :confused3

Although, I confess I once ate one of these (WARNING - DIET BUSTER - DO NOT LOOK IF ON DIET) without even realizing what it was...

Oh you're so missing out!!

:goodvibes

My mom used to make mincemeat pies at xmas, but I'm not sure they count as savory. I've had some guinness beef and lamb pies though...

They're a staple UK xmas treat, tho oddly given the name, their sweet - no meat at all :lmao:

A nice steak pie is a staple dinner for me pirate:

Right...I know there is no meat in them. :)

That reminds me. In school, we used to get "meat pie". I think it was beef, but it was hard to tell. At any rate, "savoury" implies tasting good, so I really don't think that applies at all :)

I agree that brownies are more in the cake category, BUT (WARNING!!! OPINION FOLLOWS WITH LITTLE BASIS IN FACT - PROCEED AT OWN PERIL!!!!)... Mom always put chopped nuts in her brownies, which moves them a bit more toward the Cookie Category along the great cookie<--------->cake spectrum, IMHO...:goodvibes

pirate:

Brownies with Nuts! YUK, how could you like such a thing. If you like those your are wrong and should never speak again!

But do you pay extra for the nuts? No. You have the choice. For the same price.

My mom makes a killer steak & sausage pie. Yum!!

Of course, she grew up in Northern Ireland, so that may explain the savory pie. She never baked a sweet pie - those were always purchased. :)

Check your facts! While I love peanut butter, those in the other camp are indeed Americans. I checked her passport!

I did not say that she was not a citizen, merely that she is un-American. Just like wearing white before Memorial Day or after Labour Day. Adding extra vowels in certain words. Or switching the 'er' at the end of theatre or centre.

I totally agree! I listen to this podcast, rather than some others, because the team gives their honest opinions about Disney, sharing both the things they love, and the things that disappoint, annoy, and sometimes infuriate them.

Plus, a good rant from Pete can really pick up a slow Wednesday. And let's face it, he's usually right. ;)
