I have the sweetest bunny rabbit who is a little over 8 years old now. Two to three years ago we noticed a mass growing on her side and called the vet about it ASAP. We were told that it was most likely cancer and that removal was not really an option due to her age and location and that we could have her put down. Not an option for me then because her quality of life was fine. She was eating, drinking, and living an awesome bunny life and I refused to put her down when she was not hurting and because it was convenient. Well Thursday DH and I had her out and were playing with her and we noticed that she wasn't moving quite as much. :( We thought yesterday was her last day she was listless and not moving around much. When I would hold her she was still and breathing was shallow. This morning she was back to her old self and eating up a storm and bouncing around and playful as all get outs. I know it's almost time to say goodbye but man is it hard. She is going to go out her way and in her time and I hope I have the strength to say goodbye when it is time. It's really funny how attached we get to our furbabies.

I'm so sorry for you and your family and furbaby. We had a hamster who got several lumps and the vet said the same thing basically. We just loved him up and held / petted / talked to him constantly (he was so tame even w/my cats who let him run around and left him alone - w/my supervision of course) and tried not to think about his time ending until it did. Pixie dust to you all!
