We are arriving into Orlando two days early and are meeting with friends that are driving down. The problem is that now they have no one to take care of their dogs  and they are planning on bringing them. The dogs are small and are house trained. They need a hotel that will accept their dogs for less that $100 a night otherwise they will cancel their trip.:worried:

I already looked at Hotel Kingdom and are booking them at Amerisuites Calypso Cay,but, they would rather not stay in kissimmee or at a Days Inn.

Can you recomend a hotel ??

Please,we are leaving next friday.:hyper:

They sound a little fussy to me and they really don't have that many choices with pets. We always board our dog at the vets' office when we go and it works out great. Have them check the vets at home for boarding. In the long run, it will be much easier.

Motel 6, if they want a 4 star - then the Universal's hotels are there only choice.

Have they considered hiring a pet sitter to come to the house twice a day and feed/let the dogs out? I've had the same dilemma about what to do with my 3 dogs during our two week vacation. Kennels charge more for them since they are a giant breed (Great Danes), and it was going to cost me almost $2,000 to board them while we were gone! That's almost as much as we're paying to stay at the WL!

A friend of mine mentioned getting a pet sitter and I looked into it. The rates are very reasonable ($15-$20 per visit) and the sitter comes to your house and will even take in your mail, turn on and off lights, water the plants, bring out the trash, etc. I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner! There are many reliable, professional pet sitters out there who are fully licensed and bonded. I'll feel much better going away now knowing my dogs are comfortable in their own home and not sitting in a cage for two weeks. Plus, we get the extra bonus of having someone to keep an eye on the house while we're gone. All for about $40/day!
