pet friendly hotels - for you folks in Fl.

I saw someone posted on the "Frances" thread, that they were looking for pet friendly hotels. I asked on a dog disc. board & received a few websites. I have not checked into these websites, but I hope it will help some of you. Good Luck & we're all praying for you. If anyone knows of others, add them.

I want to thank you for posting this.........I was in Charleys first path and I was also in an evacuation zone in the Tampa area, when Charley was projected to head our way. And after waiting and watching all the traffic headed out of here I decided to ride it out because I too did not want to leave my pets.........4 cats, 2 birds and a dog. I swore that I was going to get on the computer and find some lodgings that accepted pets in FL just in case I was ever in that situation again and at the first sign call and reserve a room............Luckily I did not need it for Charley, but thanks to you I am now prepared for the next one...........why is it that I have so much time to read these boards but not enough to do something really really important So thank you........

WOW! I was just talking to my friend who just moved from Chicago to Jacksonville,FL and she was really worried about finding places that welcome pets. She was ready to stay where she was! I will pass this info on to her. Thanks a bunch! She is a true Chicagoan, and has no idea where to begin with this hurricane business... I hope she fares well, I've been trying to help her out as much as I can.

Also the hard rock in hollywood, tampa, & orlando do allow pets on one floor of their hotel.

I was just told of a rental agency in the Destin to Panama City area. www.rivardnet.com 1-800-423-3215 Was told that they do charge a fee for pets. Good Luck all.
